Independence Day (July 26, 2025) Holiday Notice

Dear all,

The Administration announces to all of its employees and students that this year July 26 break will run from Thursday, July 24, 2025, to Saturday, July 26, 2025. As a result of the holiday break, the premises of AME University will be closed by the close of work day today, July 23, 2025, to all Administrative staff, faculty, and students.

However, regular work activities for all staff and vacation school classes resume Monday, July 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

May the glory of Independence Day be with us forever. We wish everyone a happy Independence Day!

The National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) is pleased to invite applications for its 2024/2025 Educational Support Program. This initiative underscores our commitment to developing Liberia's human capital and energy sector through strategic academic investments.

I. Scholarship Categories
A. Domestic University Scholarships (15 Awards)

Full tuition coverage at accredited Liberian institutions
Priority given to STEM fields (60% of awards)
Includes $50 monthly transportation stipend
Open to all development-focused disciplines
B. International Oil & Gas Specialization Awards (2 Fully Funded)

For graduate studies at globally-ranked institutions
Covers: tuition, accommodation, health insurance, roundtrip airfare, and living allowance
Exclusive to petroleum-related fields:
• Petroleum Engineering
• Geosciences
• Energy Economics
• Environmental Management for Energy
II. Eligibility Requirements
• Age Limits:

Local: 15-25 years (exceptions for younger university students)
International: Up to 30 years (35 for industry professionals)
• Academic Requirements:

Local: Minimum 3.0 GPA (STEM) / 3.2 GPA (Arts & Humanities)
International: Minimum 3.5 GPA + admission letter
• Application Documents:

Handwritten/typed application letter
Academic transcripts + WAEC results
Two recommendation letters
Proof of enrollment/citizenship/age
