Todayโs session of the Governance and Anti-Corruption Fellowship Program was exceptional and highly impactful. We were honored to receive an insightful presentation from the Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe. Her presentation deepened fellows understanding of accountability, integrity, and the fight against corruption in Liberia.
The discussion challenged fellows to see anti-corruption not only as a legal responsibility, but as a national duty that requires courage, ethical leadership, and active citizen engagement. Strengthening transparency and good governance remains essential to building public trust and advancing a better Liberia.

On April 2, 2026, we were honored to host Mr. Jeffery Yates, Head of Secretariat of the Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (LEITI), as facilitator.
His presentation focused on the legal framework, mandates and operations of LEITI. He also deepened fellows understanding about the importance of transparency tools in strengthening governance across Liberiaโs extractive sector.

Todayโs session of the Governance and Anti-Corruption Fellowship Program inspired a new level of commitment in fellows to compliment the fight against corruption in Liberia and serve as anti-corruption ambassadors.
Presentation was focused on the workings of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission LACC. Fellows learned about the LACC anti-corruption strategies, investigative procedures, achievements, and ongoing challenges.
Session was facilitated by Dr. Miatta Jeh, Commissioner, Monitoring and Investigation, Liberia Anti-Corruption Commissioner.

Week 12 of the Governance and Anti-Corruption Fellowship Program was focused on peer learning. Fellows were given the opportunity to present summaries of their research projects and showcase their understanding of key governance and accountability concepts explored throughout the program.
The session featured group presentations, followed by questions, feedback, and in-depth discussions that enhanced fellows knowledge. Fellows learned about the legal framework, operations and mandates of the General Auditing Commission, Civil Service Agency, and Liberia Land Authority.
At the fellowship, peer learning is intended to strengthen fellows confidence, improved their analytical skills, and demonstrated readiness to apply governance and accountability lessons to real-world challenges. Todayโs engagement confirmed that when young leaders are equipped with knowledge and given a platform to lead, they become drivers of reform and progress.

The Governance and Anti-Corruption Fellowship Program (GAF) continues to provide a dynamic platform for young leaders and professionals to deepen their understanding of governance, accountability and Public financial management in Liberia.
During the 9th session of our GAF program, fellows engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the Legal Framework, Mandate, Operations, Achievements, Challenges, and Opportunities of the Liberia Revenue Authority(LRA) and the PFM framework.
The session first session was led by Hon. James Dorbor Jallah, Commissioner General of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA). He provided detailed insights about the workings of the LRA, highlighted key steps taken to ensure tax compliance among business, the importance of engaging and responding to the concerns of business owners, and ongoing reforms aimed at improving service delivery.
Participants were also introduced to the LRA dashboard, a data driven tool designed to enhance transparency, monitoring, and performance tracking, with plans underway for further upgrades and improvement.
In addition, the second session introduced participants to Liberiaโs Public Financial Management (PFM) Framework, with focus on fiscal discipline, budget governance, and transparency, this session was led by Mr. Benedict Kolubah a Development Specialist,RL.
Through these engagement fellows continue to build practical knowledge and analytical skills needed to contribute to a more transparent, accountable, and effective governance system in Liberia.
