BACKGROUN
The Liberia Islamic Unity foundation High School, an axillary of the Liberia Islamic Unity Foundation Association (LIUFA), was founded in the year 1993 by a group of concerned philanthropic Muslims who saw and still see education as one of the key components in developing a nation like Liberia which has suffered from a devastating civil war that destroyed the social, political, economic and educational systems of the country. This foundation, being a non for profit institution; therefore, established the school as an auxiliary to cater to the educational need of disadvantage youths and children to acquire knowledge that will allow them realize their full potential and contribute their quota to nation building. As a co-educational and faith based institution, the school enrolls students irrespective of their tribal, religion, political and social affiliation or background. Our involvement in the education of young Liberians is to buttress National Government policy of reducing the mass illiteracy rate in Liberia and to provide quality education to all school going children particularly, the less fortunate for a better Liberia.
