It is with profound sadness that CEPRES International University (CIU) mourns the untimely passing of one of its distinguished graduates, Mr. Stephen Etheridge, a proud member of the Armed Forces of Liberia.

Mr. Etheridge was a 2024 graduate of CEPRES International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Epidemiology. During his time at the University, he was known as a disciplined, focused, and dedicated student. As a sponsored student, he demonstrated exceptional commitment to his studies and a deep sense of purpose toward contributing to national development.

Beyond academia, Stephen served his country with honor and patriotism through the Armed Forces of Liberia. His life reflected a rare blend of intellectual pursuit and national service, marking him as a young professional of great promise.

His passing is a profound loss—not only to his family and the CEPRES community—but also to the Armed Forces of Liberia and the Republic as a whole. Liberia has lost a committed servant, a scholar, and a future leader whose potential was just beginning to unfold.

On behalf of the Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Students of CEPRES International University, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and his colleagues in the Armed Forces of Liberia during this difficult time.

We pray that God grants his soul eternal rest and provides comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.

CEPRES International University Pays Tribute to Sir Prof. (Dr.) Bikash Sharma (KR)

Monrovia, Liberia — March 7, 2026
CEPRES International University expresses its profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Sir Prof. (Dr.) Bikash Sharma (KR), a distinguished global education leader and a valued Member of the Board of Trustees of CEPRES International University.
Professor Sharma was an extraordinary supporter of the vision and mission of CEPRES International University. His guidance, encouragement, and strategic contributions significantly influenced the growth and internationalization of the institution. Many of the milestones achieved by CEPRES International University over the years reflect his unwavering commitment to advancing global education and strengthening academic collaboration across continents.
In 2015, CEPRES International University became affiliated with the International Academic and Management Association (IAMA) under the leadership of Professor Sharma. This collaboration opened important international pathways for the university. Following this partnership and based on demonstrated performance and commitment, the Founder and President of CEPRES International University, Prof. Dr. Mogana S. Flomo, Jr., was appointed as the Africa Representative of IAMA, a role he continues to serve in today. This development greatly strengthened CEPRES’s international engagement and expanded opportunities for students and academic partnerships across Africa and beyond.
Professor Sharma’s dedication to educational development was truly global. His efforts helped bridge institutions, educators, and students from different parts of the world. His contributions to the advancement of higher education, innovation, and international cooperation will remain a lasting part of the legacy he leaves behind.
Professor Sharma also held a special place in his heart for Liberia and Liberian students. On several occasions, he stood firmly in support of Liberian students studying in India, advocating for their welfare and helping to address challenges they faced. His compassion, generosity, and genuine concern for students earned him deep respect and appreciation within the Liberian academic community.
He will be remembered as a visionary leader, a mentor, and a compassionate human being whose work touched countless lives across the global academic community.
CEPRES International University will soon inform the public about activities and initiatives that will be undertaken to honor the life, legacy, and contributions of Sir Prof. (Dr.) Bikash Sharma.
The university community mourns this great loss and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, colleagues, and the global educational community.
