Finally, it’s confirmed…

The Campaigners for Academic Crimes Court (CACC) remains committed to weeding out academic fraudsters and fake credentialists throughout Liberia. Our devotion to this national cause is unperturbed.

The media keeps wondering why hasn’t Cuttington University expelled Representative Alex C. Grant after UL and Ibadan Unversity axed him. CACC made every effort to get this leak out. Grant was actually EXPELLED on July 12, 2021.

CU’s President Romelle C. Horton tried to shield Alex Grant by refusing to publicize his expulsion. But we finally got this leaked email. How can academic fraud or malfeasance be a matter confidentiality? We can’t just fathom Horton’s motive of hiding such info. or protecting a fraudster when she is not a fraudster. Do we need to check her credentials too?

Finally, Representative Grant has been axed by UL, CU, and IU. A new precedent has been set. Will the Legislature purge him too? Liberia has suffered so long and too much from academic fraud. It’s time to end it.

CACC has submitted a concept / framework to a few lawmakers in pursuit of establishing an Academic Crimes Court. A bill is likely to be introduced asap.

The FACTS are out

Shut up Tweah, we blame you and Weah for the disaster at C. H. Rennie Hospital in Margibi County

Martin K. N. Kollie writes…

Please find time and read this. The CDC-led Government does not prioritize your health. This is what Tweah, Weah, McGill, and pro-CDC surrogates have been saying, “Our government has invested in health more than any past government.”

You see how they cut down the appropriations of all public health facilities? Additionally, most private health facilities are no longer receiving subsidies.

They sliced the annual budget of the C. H. Rennie Hospital from US$377 in FY2017/2018 to US$100 in FY2020/2021. Health workers at C. H. Rennie have not even taken pay for more than 5 months now. As a result, this public health facility became somehow abandoned before it was even gutted by fire yesterday. Furthermore, there’s no effective fire station or mechanism in Margibi County. Why? There’s no money according to Tweah, Weah, and McGill.

Shut up, Tweah! We blame you for the fire disaster at C. H. Rennie Hospital. Why did you cut down their budget? You are looting and building private mansions while public-interest entities like LNFS, NDMA, JFK, C.H. Rennie, etc. continue to financially crawl on their knees. We really do empathize with the people of Margibi for this huge loss.

This piece is just an appetizer ahead of my 7-page rebuttal to Finance Minister Samuel Tweah’s poor and fallacious presentation at CEIO on Carey Street. We will not allow anyone to deceive our people. It is the right of our people know the facts. And it is my duty to let them know.

The Republic under ex-Soccer Star GMW has become a scene of tragedies.

See what each lawmaker gets in 12 months but they are not still satisfied

Martin K. N. Kollie writes…

Our people do not know this. And our duty is to let them know. Truth hurts but it does heal.

Amid COVID-19 coupled with extreme hardship in Liberia, 103 lawmakers unremorsefully shared US$1,545,000 among themselves. 15k each lawmaker for so-called “Legislative Project” while civil servants remain unpaid for months now. If this is not white-collar looting, then you tell me what is it?

But see what you are spending on each lawmaker per month and per year:

A) Each Senator

Salary (Monthly):
1) Basic Salary – US$10,310.70
2) Total Basic Salary per year – US$123,728.4

Other Expenses (Yearly):
1) Operational Expense – US$150,381.46
2) Fuel and Lubricant for Vehicle – US$10,000
3) Constituency Visit – US$9,833
4) Foreign Travel – US$2,333
5) Foreign Travel Incidental Allowance – US$231
6) Domestic Travel Subsistence Allowance – US$1,000
7) Stationery – US$1,120.50
8) Scholarship – US$1,320
9) Total (Other Expenses) – US$176,218.96

Just add the total of basic salary and other expenses, then you will know how greedy and corrupt your senators are. This is what goes to each of them directly. What do they also receive per annum for their staffs?

Basic salary for civil servants (legislative staffers) is US$4,257,178. So, each Senator receives additional US$141,905.95 to pay their staffs but legislative staffs are still complaining of no salary. How many staffs do they even have to pay? Most are ghost staffs. Greed is eating Liberia up.

Let’s move to Representative.

B) Each Representative

Salary (Monthly):
1) Basic Salary – US$7,832
2) Total Basic Salary per year – US$93,984

Other Expenses (Yearly):
1) Operational Expense – US$80,978.65
2) Fuel and Lubricant for Vehicle – US$10,000
3) Total (Other Expenses) – US$90,978.65

Besides this, those 73 Representatives are also receiving US$9,201,422 in 12 months to pay their staffs. So, each Representative’s office is receiving additional US$126,046.87 which is intended to pay their staffs. But are they really paying their staffs?

Furthermore, there’s nothing in our 2020/2021 Approved National Budget that is called “Legislative Project”. I challenge any Senator or any Lawmaker to prove me wrong. This is glaring CORRUPTION. This 15k for so-called “Legislative Project” is a form of institutionalized LOOTING through white-collar means.

Civil servants have not taken pay for months. Liberian-owned businesses are struggling to survive. Unemployment, poverty, and inflation are surging. Companies are shutting down. JFK and other health facilities are gradually closing due to funding constraints. Public schools lack funding. Enrollment has dropped. Liberians are catching hell. But each lawmaker just took 15k. Wow

The Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) was established by law to implement legislative projects. So, no Senator or no lawmaker should be implementing any legislative project with public money. It’s wrong and this is called looting. The functions of a lawmaker are: Lawmaking, Representation, and Oversight. And not to take huge sum of public money for so-called "legislative engagement". This is nonsense and cruelty.

GREED and institutionalized corruption are killing Liberia and Liberians. The country is in TROUBLE. It has a Legislature of indigenous vampires.
