A significant milestone has been achieved for Tubman University Sinoe Student Association (TUSSA), as several of its members recorded major victories in the recent William V.S. Tubman University elections.

Executive Advisor in Moulton B. Panyonnoh has been elected as President-Elect of the Tubman University Student Government Association (TUSGA), marking a strong leadership gain for the organization.

In addition, Vice President in Alphanso Wesseh secured a position as Representative of the College of Health Sciences in the Student Legislative Assembly of the Tubman University Student Government Association (TUSGA), reflecting continued student trust and confidence in his leadership.

Similarly, the Sports Committee Chairperson in Cephus S. Togba Jr., was elected Vice President of the College of Health Sciences Student Government Leadership, further strengthening TUSSA’s influence across key student leadership structures.

These victories represent a major boost for TUSSA, demonstrating its growing impact and representation within the university’s governance and student leadership system.

The leadership and members of the Tubman University Sinoe Student Association (TUSSA) extend their profound appreciation to Hon. Alexander Nah Sleweon, Superintendent of Sinoe County, for serving as the Chief Sponsor of the 4th Edition of TUSSA’s Annual Activities in Sinoe County.

Hon. Sleweon’s generous initial financial contribution of USD 150.00 greatly strengthened the efforts of the association and played a crucial role in the smooth and successful implementation of our academic and sports activities.
His consistent support toward youth empowerment and student-driven initiatives in Sinoe County remains highly valued and commendable.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Cornelius Teah Doe for serving as Co-Sponsor of this year’s events.
His thoughtful donation of LRD 15,000.00 as a cash prize for the winners of the second segment of the program; the Football and Kickball Competitions provided strong motivation for participating teams and contributed significantly to the overall success of the tournament.

🚨 COMPREHENSIVE SUMMARY OF THE TUSSA ANNUAL ACADEMIC AND SPORTS CHALLENGE – FOURTH EDITION

The Tubman University Sinoe Student Association (TUSSA) is at the verge of officially concluding the Fourth Edition of its Annual Academic and Sports Challenge in Greenville City, Sinoe County.

The Academic Challenge featured six schools competing in the Quizzing Championship and two schools competing in the Debate Championship.

After highly competitive rounds, St. Joseph Catholic High School emerged as Quizzing Champions and Runners-up in the Debate, while Eliza Davis George Memorial Baptist High School clinched the Debate Championship and finished as Runners-up in Quizzing.

As part of the ongoing tournament, the Football and Kickball Leagues kicked off from Thursday, January 22 to January 26, 2026, at the famous James E. Greene Sports Pitch.

🚩 KICKBALL RESULTS

βœ”οΈ St. Paul Kickball Team recorded an emphatic 10–0 victory over Sinoe Extension High School.

βœ”οΈ The St. Joseph Kickball Team edged Baptist High School with a 4–3 victory.

βœ”οΈ Gary Hall Christian High School delivered a strong performance, defeating Sinoe High School 6–0.

βœ”οΈ Harris W. Grigsby United Methodist High School was awarded three points after Seebeh High School failed to turn out for the kickball match

🚩 FOOTBALL RESULTS

βœ”οΈ St. Paul dominated the football encounter with a convincing 4–0 win over Sinoe Extension High School.

βœ”οΈ Baptist High School defeated St. Joseph Catholic High School 2–0.

βœ”οΈ Sinoe High School narrowly defeated Gary Hall Christian High School 1–0.

βœ”οΈ Harris W. Grigsby United Methodist High School lost 5–4 on penalties to Seebeh High School after regulation time.

βœ… SEMIFINAL STAGE

🚩 KICKBALL

βœ”οΈ St. Paul recorded a massive 21–0 home-run victory over St. Joseph Catholic High School.

βœ”οΈ Gary Hall Christian High School secured a 10–1 win over the Methodist Kickball Team.

🚩 FOOTBALL

βœ”οΈ After an intense 1–1 draw, St. Paul defeated Baptist High School 6–5 on penalties in an impressive shootout.

βœ”οΈ Sinoe High School defeated Seebeh High School 1–0.

βœ… GRAND FINAL

βœ”οΈ Gary Hall Christian High School clinched the Kickball Championship with a thrilling 6–5 home-run victory over St. Paul High School.

βœ”οΈ The football final between Sinoe High School and St. Paul High School ended in a draw at full time.
The penalty shootout was postponed due to darkness on the field.
The match will resume on Monday, January 26, 2026, with 30 minutes of extra time, beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by the Awards Ceremony for all competitions.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE πŸ“’

The Tubman University Sinoe Students Association (TUSSA) respectfully informs all sponsors, partners, participating schools, and the general public of a minor adjustment to the schedule of its 2026 Annual Activities.

The Quizzing and Debate Championships have been postponed to Wednesday, January 14, 2026, while the Football and Kickball Competitions will now be held from January 22–24, 2026.

This decision was reached following a meeting held yesterday with all participating schools, aimed at ensuring effective coordination and the smooth conduct of the activities.

All other arrangements remain unchanged. We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued support.

The competition fixtures will be published soon.
