Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is considered the holiest and most sacred month for Muslims worldwide.

The observance of Ramadan is based on the Islamic belief that it was during this month that the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad by God through the angel Gabriel.

The practice of fasting during Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, abstaining from eating, drinking, and other sensual pleasures.

The origins of Ramadan can be traced back to the 7th century CE, when the Prophet Muhammad first received the divine revelations that became the Quran.

After the Prophet's death, the observance of Ramadan became an integral part of Islamic religious practice and has been celebrated by Muslims globally for over 1400 years.

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, increased charity and good deeds, and strengthening of community ties among Muslims worldwide.

With that, Cuttington University Southeastern Students Association (CUSA) says happy Ramadan to our Muslim brothers and sisters at Cuttington University and the world at large.

CUSA loves you all !!
