Taylor, a Liberian teacher in 2002. It all started when she fled Bomi County because of rebel attacked on that part of the country - where she was being assigned as principal of the Samuel D. As a person of great compassion for children, she couldn't wait to help school-age children who were not in school at that time because of the many hardships being faced by their parents. She went to many homes to encourage both parents and children to take advantage of tutorial classes at her home while everyone awaits the return of calm into the country. Some parents complained of not having money to send their children to school, and others just felt there was no future in going to school while the country was not stable. But in just a short while, as she opened her doors to the children, the number grew beyond expectations, and this give rise to many appeals from parents for her to start a regular school for the kids. So in September of 2005 the Restore Future Elementary School was established and registered by the Ministry of Education. The school is presently being run in her home, it is a community based, with 60% of the students absolutely TUITION FREE... The school has a total enrollment of one hundred seventy-eight (178) students, nine (9) teachers, a janitor together with a vibrant PTA. The school has managed to acquire a parcel of land for future establishment, because we do not have enough space to provide for: An increase in students and future personnel, Reading Room, computer lab, cafeteria and play ground to make learning more competitive in a secure and conducive area for the kids.
