September Reflection | New Joy @4 🤍🇱🇷
Four years. One vision. Thousands of lives touched.
As we approach September 24, we pause to reflect with gratitude on a journey of faith, service, partnership, learning, and impact.
By God’s grace, New Joy has worked across 5 counties and 8 education districts, reaching:
7,202+ learners and 528 educators through our Literacy Program, across 96 faith-based schools, with literacy outcomes improving from 25% at baseline to 65% at endline through partnership and funding from Edify.
1,500+ teachers and school leaders trained through our CPD programs.
14 teachers graduated in Early Childhood Education, with 100+ currently enrolled in our “C” Certificate in Primary and Early Childhood Education programs through the New Joy Teacher Training Institute, now with campuses in Paynesville and Gardnersville.
20+ schools supported through our School Consultancy Services.
1,000+ teachers, 10,000+ learners, and 300+ schools reached through our Teaching & Learning Materials initiative.
500+ children received teaching and learning materials across 3 counties, while 80+ children in Montserrado benefited from vacation tutorials through partnerships including the Kumba Foundation.
But behind every number is a child, teacher, school, leader, family, or community whose journey matters. 🤍
We are grateful to the Ministry of Education, Education Officers, Edify, Kumba Foundation, National Association of Liberia School Principals, private, faith-based and public schools, our Board, team, consultants, staff, volunteers, parents, partners, customers, and supporters.
