"CSO Call for Survival Support Funds, Grand Bassa County".

As member of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection , Grand Bassa Chapter, I'm making an urgent appeal for survival support funds to respond to the needs of survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in the county.
We are deeply concerned about the increasing number of women and girls affected by violence, many of whom are left without access to safe shelter, food, medical care, psychosocial support, and legal assistance. These urgent needs require immediate and coordinated response.

We therefore call on the County Administration of Grand Bassa, development partners, humanitarian actors, private sector institutions, and all well-meaning citizens to urgently contribute to a survival support fund dedicated to GBV survivors.

The support will be used to:
Provide emergency shelter and safe accommodation
Offer food and essential survival items
Support medical treatment and psychosocial services
Facilitate transportation and referral services
Strengthen protection, legal aid, and justice follow-up

This is a collective responsibility to protect dignity, restore hope, and ensure justice for survivors within our communities.

We strongly believe that with joint commitment and timely support, we can reduce suffering and strengthen protection systems for women and girls in Grand Bassa County.

"As we observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, I raise my voice once again to say NO to all forms of violence against women and girls,online and offline. Every woman and girl deserves to live, learn, work, and speak freely without fear, intimidation, abuse, or discrimination.
Today, I also humbly acknowledge my surprise recognition by NAYmote- Liberia for my continued efforts in advocacy and community engagement. This honor is not mine alone,it belongs to every woman and girl in Buchanan and beyond who continues to stand strong, speak out, and demand justice.
To the women and girls of Buchanan:
You are powerful. Your voices matter. Your dreams are valid. Whether in your homes, schools, workplaces, communities, or online spaces, your safety and dignity must be protected. Let us continue supporting one another, reporting abuse, and challenging harmful norms that silence us.
Violence against women and girls is not a private issue,it is a community crisis. Let’s unite, educate, advocate, and act. Together, we can build a Grand Bassa where every woman and girl lives free from fear and full of hope.
