CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

Interim President, Grand Bassa University
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Students of Grand Bassa University, I extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and the people of Grand Bassa County on the passing of Hon. Janjay Baikpeh, Superintendent of Grand Bassa County.
Hon. Baikpeh’s passing on August 23, 2026 is a profound loss to his family, Grand Bassa County, and Liberia. His service to the county in the capacity of Superintendent placed him in a position of significant responsibility and public trust. His passing has therefore left a void that will be deeply felt by those who knew and worked with him.
At this difficult moment of grief, the Grand Bassa University community stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and the people of Grand Bassa County. We pray that God Almighty will grant the family strength, comfort, courage, and peace as they mourn the loss of their loved one and public servant.
As we remember Hon. Janjay Baikpeh, may his contributions to the development and administration of Grand Bassa County be remembered with respect, and may his life and service continue to inspire those committed to the advancement of our county.
The Grand Bassa University community joins the people of Grand Bassa County in mourning and paying tribute to the late Superintendent.
Hon. Janjay Baikpeh will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
