Highlights from GVTC Electrical and Solar Installation Levels 3&4 Two Weeks Transmission and Distribution Training

The Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC) in partnership with Jungle Energy Power (JEP), one of the largest private sector electricity companies in Liberia began the training of Levels 3 and 4 Electrical and Solar Installation trainees at GVTC in Transmission and Distribution (T&D). JEP Branch Manager in Gbarnga City, B**g county, Engineer Abednego D. Koon conducted the training alongside GVTC's Electrical and Solar Installation trainer, Engineer Moses Lablah on GVTC's campus in Bensonville, Montserrado County.

Week one (March 9 - 14) and Week two (March 16-21) of training in Transmission and Distribution (T&D) covered the following activities:

*Introduction to transmission and distribution
*Sitting and pe***ng
*Pole holes excavation
*Pole depth measurements and
*Pole climbing techniques

Attention prospective trainees!

The Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC) administered its first entrance exam on November 1, 2025, for the semester one 2026 training year. If you missed the first exam, don't worry! The second entrance exam is scheduled for December 6, 2025.

Courses offered are: electrical & solar installation, plumbing & Pipefitting, Road Maintenance & Construction and Wood Trade (Carpentry, Joinery, Furniture & Cabinet Making).
