The Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC) says “Mah sah” to our SES Expert

On Monday, August 11, 2026, we concluded a powerful four-week assignment (July 14 – August 11, 2026) with Mr. Karsten Krull, Senior Expert from the Senior Expert Service (SES) of Germany.

What Mr. Krull did with GVTC:
Professional grant writing & fundraising strategies – He equipped our team to tell GVTC’s story and secure support for blind and low-vision students.
Asset Management – He helped us build systems to steward every machine, tool, and resource for long-term impact.

Mr. Krull did not come as a tourist. He came as a partner. He sat with our Administration, listened to our challenges, and worked side-by-side to find Liberian solutions. His patience, expertise, and belief in “Disability is Not Inability” strengthened GVTC and the wider TVET Sector.

To the German Senior Expert Service (SES): Thank you for sending us one of your best. This partnership proves that skills have no borders.

To Mr. Krull: Liberia thanks you. GVTC thanks you. The students whose lives will change because of your work thank you. Safe travels back to Germany. You arrived as an Expert. You leave as Family.

The Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC) welcomes Mr. Karsten Krull, an Expert from the Senior Expert Service (SES) of Germany who is on a four-week (July 14 – August 11, 2026) assignment with the GVTC.

Expert Krull will work with GVTC Administration in the following areas:

The 2-week ROGEAP Solar PV Training officially ended today, climaxing with the certification of our second batch of participants!

After 10 days of hard work — from theory to live installations — Batch 2 graduates are now certified solar technicians ready to power Liberia’s future. ⚡🇱🇷

🎉 32 CERTIFIED, 42 NEXT UP! ☀️⚡

We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion and certification of the first batch of 32 trainees under the ROGEAP ASPIRE TRAINING at GVTC!

These 32 future Solar PV technicians just wrapped Phase 1 of the ECOWAS Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project and received their certificates. From safety protocols to live installations, they’ve proven they’re ready to power Liberia’s renewable energy future.

And the momentum continues — Phase 2 for the next batch of 42 starts TODAY, June 8, 2026! 🚀

GVTC IS NOW ECOWAS-ACCREDITED!
Gateway Vocational Training Center has been officially accredited by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) as a Training & Examination Center for Level 1 Off-Grid Solar PV Systems!

What this means: We can now TRAIN + CERTIFY solar technicians to ECOWAS standards, right here in Bentol City. Your certificate = recognized in ECOWAS Member countries.
