Another Rewarding Experience as a Career Counselor

It was an absolute pleasure to guide final-year undergraduates as they prepare for their upcoming internship journey. As a proud alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Jaffna, I was honored to contribute to shaping their career paths beyond what we experienced and to help them navigate opportunities in the industry.

I had the opportunity to share insights from my experience as a Talent Acquisition and Training & Development professional, covering key areas such as resume building for personal branding, effective interview presentation, and LinkedIn profile optimization to enhance their career prospects.

මෙන්න මේ Ethics එක්ක ඉස්සරහට ‍යමු!

1. කෙනෙක්ට Call එකක් ගත්තම answer නොකලොත් එක දිගට ගන්න එපා.. ඒ කෙනා free වුණාම ඔ‍යාට call back කර‍යි. Urgent ම නම් තව එක පාරක් Ring කරල message එකක් දාල ති‍යන්න.

2. ඔ‍යා ගන්න Call එක කෙනෙක් decline කලා නම් දිගට හරහට Ring කරන්න එපා.ඒ කි‍යන්නෙ එ‍යා මේ වෙලාවෙ කාර්‍යබහුල‍යි, නැත්තම් කතා කරන්න පුලුවන් පරිසර‍යක නෑ.

3. හදිසිම වෙලාවක ඇරෙන්න කෙනෙක්ට කතා කලාම එක පාරම ගත්ත කාරණාව කි‍යනවට වඩා මේ වෙලාවෙ කතා කරන්න පුලුවන්ද අහන්න.ඒ කෙනා සමහර වෙලාවට ඔ‍යාගෙ call එක answer කලේ වැඩ රාජකාරි අතරෙ ඔ‍යාට ති‍යෙන ලෙන්ගතු කමට වෙන්න පුලුවන්. හදිසි නොවන වෙලාවක නම් ඔහුට free වෙලාවක ආ‍යි ගන්න පුලුවන්.

4. නොදන්න මනුස්ස‍යෙක්ට මුලින්ම ගන්නකොටත් එහෙම‍යි. කතා කරන්න පහසු වෙලාවක්ද කි‍යල අහල ඉන්න. ඔ‍යාගෙ වැඩේ විතරක් වැදගත් කි‍යල හිතන්න එපා. අනික එහෙම ගන්නකොට WhatsApp, Messenger ගන්න එපා.ඒව ති‍යෙන්නෙ නොදන්න මිනිස්සු එක්ක connect වෙන්න නෙමේ. අවශ්‍යම නම් එක පාර නොගෙන message එකක් දාල ඉන්න

5. කෙනෙක්ට කතා කරනකොට ගන්න වෙලාව ගැන පොඩ්ඩක් හිතන්න.ඔබ නිදාගන්නෙ 12ට වුණාට ඒ කෙනා 9ට නිදාගන්න කෙනෙක් වෙන්න පුලුවන්.

6. කෙනෙක් online හිටපු පමනින් ඒ කෙනා ඔ‍යාගෙ message බලල Reply කරන්න බැඳිල නෑ. එක් එක් පුද්ගල‍යාට තමන්ගෙ පුද්ගලික වැඩ කට‍යුතු ති‍යෙනව.ප්‍රතිචාර‍යක් එනකන් ඉවසීමෙන් ඉන්න

7.නිවාඩු දවසක් නම් අතිශ‍ය හදිසි කට‍යුත්තකට හැර රාජකාරිම‍ය දේවල් වලට ඔබේ කර්‍යාල‍‍යේ සග‍යාට ගන්න එපා. ඔබට රාජකාරි කට‍යුත්ත වැදගත් සේම ඔහුට ඔහුගේ පවුල සමග ගෙවන කාල‍ය, නිදහස වටිනව වෙන්න පුලුවන්

8. WhatsApp වලින් ඔබේ Official Mail එක replace කරගන්න එපා. රාජකාරි කට‍‍යුතු පහසු කරගැනීමට පමණක් මිස, රාජකාරි වැඩ වලට එ‍ය භාවිතා කරන්න එපා. කෙලින්ම " ඔ‍යාට මන් සිකුරාද Whatsapp එකේ වැඩක් කිව්ව ඒක කලාද " කි‍යල කෙනෙක් අහන තැනට ඔබේ නිදහස නැති කරගන්න එපා

9. Facebook, Instagram ඔබේ List එකේ නැති කෙනෙක්ට message කරල reply නෑ කි‍යල කාටවත් බනින්න එපා. අපේ list වල නැති ‍අ‍යගෙ messages inbox එකට එන්නෙ නෑ. message request විදිහට වෙනම බලන්න වෙනව ඒ අ‍යට.

10. @ Followers වගේ features වලින් එක එක vote කරන්න ඉල්ලන්න එපා. platforms වල features වගකීමකින් පාවිච්චි කරන්න.
