On the sacred Esala Poya Day, the students of Royal International School – Warakapola respectfully offered a Sambuddha Pooja with sincere faith and devotion to the Sacred Triple Gem.

This meritorious offering provided our students with an opportunity to strengthen their Saddhā (faith), cultivate Sīla (virtue), and reflect on the noble teachings of the Buddha. Through this act of merit, we aspire to develop loving-kindness, compassion, mindfulness, and wisdom in the hearts of our children.

May the blessings of the Noble Triple Gem bring peace, good health, happiness, and prosperity to all our students, parents, teachers, and the entire school community.

Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready Classroom!

Teachers from Royal International School – Warakapola, together with educators from other participating schools, had the wonderful opportunity to attend "The Competency Classroom – Teaching for a World We Cannot Yet Predict," an inspiring professional development workshop organized in collaboration with Burlington English.

The session was expertly conducted by Mrs. Amrita Burman, Master Trainer, who shared valuable insights into competency-based education, innovative teaching methodologies, authentic assessment, and preparing learners with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven world.

The workshop also provided an excellent platform for educators from different schools to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another, strengthening our shared commitment to educational excellence.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Amrita Burman, Burlington English, and all the participating schools for making this event a memorable and enriching experience.

Together, we continue to inspire, innovate, and empower the next generation of learners.

Primary Section Speech Contest 2026!

Our Primary Section Speech Contest was a wonderful platform for our young learners to express their ideas with confidence, creativity, and excellent communication skills.

The participants impressed everyone with their enthusiasm, clear delivery, and remarkable stage presence. We are proud of every student who stepped onto the stage and gave their best.

Nomadic School Experience.

Our Junior and Senior School students had an exciting and inspiring experience with ජීවිතය කියාදෙන ඇවිදින පාසල – Nomadic School at Ibbagamuwa.

Nomadic School is a Sri Lankan platform that encourages young people to explore their potential, develop essential life skills, and become positive contributors to society.

Set amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of Ibbagamuwa, our students actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm, enjoyed every moment, and gained valuable knowledge, confidence, and unforgettable memories.

We are proud of our young learners for embracing this meaningful journey of growth and discovery.

Poson Bakthi Gee Saraniya 2026

With deep devotion, our students from Grade 1 to Grade 11 presented a meaningful Poson Bakthi Gee Saraniya, celebrating the sacred Poson season through devotional songs and spiritual reflection.

We were deeply honoured by the gracious presence of Kolathenne Sudarmananda Thero, who kindly conducted the pancil (Pancha Sila), followed by The Hon. Chandana Edirisinghe, Chairman of the Warakapola Pradeshiya Sabha, Dr. Newton A. Peiris, the School Management, and the Principal, whose presence and blessings enriched this sacred occasion.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all teachers, parents, and well-wishers who supported and guided the success of this programme.

May the blessings of Poson inspire peace, compassion, and wisdom in everyone’s lives.

Poson Celebration – Pre-Primary Section

Our Pre-Primary children enjoyed a peaceful and memorable Poson celebration with a special visit to Mahamevnawa Temple.

This meaningful experience allowed our little learners to appreciate the values of kindness, compassion, respect, and gratitude while experiencing the true spirit of Poson. It was a wonderful opportunity to nurture both their minds and hearts through Buddhist traditions and cultural values.
