උඳුවප් පොහොය දිනය අදයි...

මෙම පොයේ වැදගත්කම්

~ සංඝමිත්තා තෙරණිය ඇතුළු පිරිස සිරිලකට ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධියේ දක්ෂිණ ශාඛාව වැඩම කිරීම.
- මිහිදු මහරහතන් වහන්සේගේ අනුදැනුම ඇතුව දේවානම් පියතිස රජතුමාගේ ආරාධනයෙන් සංඝමිත්තා තෙරණිය ඇතුළු පිරිස සිරිලකට ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධියේ දක්ෂිණ ශාඛාව වැඩම කිරීම.

~ ලක්දිව භික්ෂුණී ශාසනය ආරම්භ කිරීම.
- අනුලා දේවිය ඇතුළු සෝවාන් පල ලබා සිටි කාන්තාවන් පිරිස සසුන් ගත වෙමින් ලක්දිව භික්ෂුණී ශාසනය ආරම්භ කිරීම.

~ ශ්‍රී පද වන්දනා සාමය ආරම්භ කිරීම.
- බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ වම් පාදස්පර්ශයෙන් පුජනීයත්වයට පත්වූ ශ්‍රී පාදස්ථානය වන්දනා කිරීමේ සාමය ආරම්බ වීම. සුමන සමන් දෙවියන්ගේ ආරාධනාවෙන් බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ සමඟ රහතන් වහන්සේලා පන්සියයක් සමනළ කන්දට වැඩම කිරීම. වෙසක් පොහොය අවසන් වීමත් සමග ශ්‍රී පද වන්දනා සාමය අවසාන වීම.

සම්මත වර්ෂ අවසානයේ යෙදෙන උඳුවප් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය මෙවන් සුවිශේෂී සිද්ධීන් රැසක් නිසා සමස්ත බෞද්ධ ජනතාවට සුවිශේෂිත වූ දිනයක් බවට පත් වී ඇත.
ක්‍ෂණසම්පත්තිය සහිත උතුම් මනුෂ්‍යය ආත්මයක් ලැබී ඇති මෙම බුද්ධෝත්පාද කාලය තුල කුසල් දහම්හි නිරත වී සසරින් එතරව ලබන සදාකාලික නිවන් සුවය ලබාගැනීමට මෙම ධර්ම දානය හේතුවාසනා වේවා!
