I’m going to say this openly: I owe this country more than I can ever repay. Not like many places in the world, my motherland raised me for free, free education, free healthcare, and a childhood surrounded by nature people dream about. This land gave me the foundation to stand where I am today.

So yes, I'm obligated to give something back, even if it’s just a small amount from my monthly savings. I’m not doing charity, I’m repaying a debt to the soil that made me.

Sri Lanka is hurting, but we’re not done.
We will rebuild.
We will rise stronger than before.
And we will not let our people fight this alone.
