✨ Look Up Tonight! ✨ (November 16, 2025)

Are you ready to watch the night sky tonight? The peak of the Leonids Meteor Shower—visible across the globe—is happening tonight (November 16) and into the early morning hours (November 17)!

This is one of the year's most reliable meteor showers, and you can expect to see about 10-15 meteors per hour. These meteors are known for being fast, bright, and often leaving straight, lingering trails in the atmosphere.

🔭 When and How to Watch?
Best Time: After 9:00 PM tonight but staying up until the predawn hours will offer the clearest and best view.

Where to Look: Focus on the Leo (Lion) constellation, which will be rising in the Eastern sky.

▶️Tips:

🔸Choose a dark location away from light pollution.

🔸No binoculars or telescopes are needed—they are best seen with the naked eye.

🔸Be patient and comfortable while waiting.

🌀 Did you know you can draw an amazing spiral using just right triangles? 🤯

Meet the Square Root Spiral (also known as the Spiral of Theodorus)! It's a stunning geometric construction that's over 2,000 years old.

The magic happens by repeatedly applying the Pythagorean Theorem. You start with a simple 1x1 right triangle, and by adding a new unit-length side perpendicular to the last hypotenuse,

Check out this quick video to see exactly how to construct this mathematical masterpiece:

Fun Fact: The original spiral drawn by the Greek mathematician Theodorus famously stopped at the triangle with a hypotenuse of

Take your time and enjoy solving it!

The Coffee Shop Conundrum

A barista is making coffee for three customers. Each customer orders a different drink: a latte, a cappuccino, and an americano. Each drink also comes in a different size: small, medium, and large.

Here are the :

▶️The customer who ordered the latte did not order the small size.

▶️The americano was ordered by the customer who did not get the large size.

▶️The cappuccino was ordered by the customer who chose the medium size.

Which customer ordered which drink and in what size?

Take your time and enjoy solving it! Let me know if you'd like a hint or the solution.

📐 Post: Decoding the Law of Cosines

Any Triangle!
The Secret to Mastering the Law of Cosines (Cosine Rule)
The Pythagorean Theorem is fantastic... if you have a right angle. But what about the other triangles? That's where the Law of Cosines steps in as your universal tool!

This powerful formula allows you to solve for missing sides and angles in any triangle, making it an essential concept for trigonometry, engineering, and geometry.

▶️The Core Formula
For a triangle with sides a, b, and c, and angle C opposite side c:

💡 When to Use It
To Find a Missing Side (SAS): If you know two sides and the Included Angle (the angle between them).

To Find a Missing Angle (SSS): If you know the length of all three sides.

🔥 Pro Tip: The Pythagorean Connection
Remember the formula

c ^2 =a^ 2 +b^ 2 −2abcos(C).

If the angle C is 90°
, then cos(C) is 0, and the whole last part drops out, leaving you with the classic Pythagorean Theorem:

c ^2 =a ^2+b ^2

The Law of Cosines is truly the generalized version!

PARTS OF CRICLE

A circle is a shape consisting of all points in a plane that are at a given distance from a given point, the centre. The distance between any point of the circle and the centre is called the radius. The length of a line segment connecting two points on the circle and passing through the centre is called the diameter.

AREA & VOLUME! 📦
Hey Math Superstars! 🌟 Let's explore the space all around us! We use Area and Volume every day.

📏 1. AREA: Flat Space! (2D)
What is it? It's the amount of flat space a shape covers.

Think of it like: Painting a wall, or spreading a blanket on the grass.

🏐2. VOLUME: Space Inside! (3D)
What is it? It's the amount of space an object takes up or how much it can hold.

Think of it like: Filling a swimming pool, or packing toys into a box.
