Cooking with Yash Join our Cookery Course and learn how to bake cakes, make chicken & seafood dishes, cook Sri Lankan, whip up dressings, vinaigrette and tasty pasta sauces!

The course is a total of 6 classes held every Saturday from 2.00 – 5.30 p.m. at 676, Ethul Kotte, Kotte. The lessons include

1. Cake Baking & Basic Icings and Toppings
- Classic Almond Butter Cake/Birthday Cake
- Chocolate Cupcakes
- Vanilla Buttercream
- Chocolate Ganache
(Shared Recipe: Banana Bread and basic Cookie/Loaf Glaze)

2. Cooking with Chicken
- Almost-KFC-like Chicken Nuggets
- Ba

ked Chilli and Coriander Chicken
- Authentic Sri Lankan Chicken Curry
(Shared Recipe: Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce)

3. Cooking with Seafood
- Hot Butter Cuttlefish
- Thai Green Curry Prawns
- Spicy Baked Whole Fish with Rosemary, Garlic, Olive Oil and Lemon with a Chilli Butter Sauce
(Shared Recipe: Easy Wok-fried Black Pepper Crabs)

4. Sri Lankan Cuisine
- Kiribath and Lunumiris
- Ala Kiri Hodi
- Pol Sambol
- Maalu Ambul Thiyal
- Brinjal Pahi (Batu Moju)
(Shared Recipe: Watalappam)

5. Pasta Sauces, Salad Dressings, Dips & Appetizers
- Creamy Mushroom, Cheese and Basil Sauce
- Thyme and Tomato Chicken Meatball Sauce
- Ginger beer and Chilli Vinaigrette
- Mayo variations – Wasabi, Turmeric Aioli
- Mint Yoghurt Dip
(Shared Recipe – Baked Pasta with Tomatoes and Mozzarella)

6. Indian Feast
- Prawn Biryani
- Mughlai Chicken Curry
- Beetroot Raita
(Shared Recipe – Tomato Paneer Curry)

The students would as a group watch and help with steps, participate while taking notes like in a Master Class. It is a very informal and friendly atmosphere. All questions and suggestions are welcome. I will also email you the recipes after each lesson. If you enroll for the course, each class would be Rs.1500 per student and you have to pay for the 1st 3 classes in advance to register. The initial payment of Rs. 4500 will have to be made before the first lesson to Commercial Bank account number 8760005930 in order for us to confirm your attendance. You will have to inbox us your deposit details asap and bring the deposit slip on the first day of classes. The payment for the remaining 3 classes (Rs. 4500) will have to be made any day before the 3rd lesson takes place to the same account and you can bring the deposit slip on the 3rd day of the course. If all agree classes can be shifted/rescheduled/postponed to a later date. Please confirm if you want to join !
