It is indeed the most auspicious occasion for all the Sri Lankans to get reunited with the beloved members of the family and friends, and the New Year under the current challenging situation all the more bears special meaning as it brings together the hearts of the people ever closer - even if the COVID-19 didn’t allow the reunion with the loved ones physically.

Various traditions and rituals will adorn the day with the spirit of unity at the dawn of a new year. We will also take part in this joyous celebration with the same spirit while embracing the renewed promises for the days ahead.
