There are some individuals whose impact on an institution goes far beyond a title—and Brigadier Pradeep Rathnayaka is undoubtedly one of them. 💙

As the first Officer-in-Charge of the KDU Toastmasters Club*, he was there at the very beginning, helping lay the foundation for a journey that would go on to shape countless speakers, leaders, and individuals. His guidance, support, and belief in the potential of the club played an invaluable role in building the community we proudly call our own today.

As he concludes his tenure as Deputy Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for his service, leadership, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

From being the first OIC of TMC to being a mentor and guiding presence throughout its journey, his contribution will always remain a special part of the KDU Toastmasters Club story. ✨

What an unforgettable case! Our A Meeting to Die For brought together mystery, suspense, and plenty of unexpected twists, reminding us that every great story has a secret waiting to be uncovered. 🕵️‍♀️🗝️

From captivating speeches and sharp evaluations to thrilling Table Topics, every session had us questioning the evidence, following the clues, and wondering who would be the next suspect. 🔍🎤 Each participant added their own twist to the case, making this meeting one we certainly won’t forget.

A sincere thank you to everyone who stepped into the investigation and helped make this meeting a killer success! Your confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm turned an ordinary Toastmasters session into a mystery worth solving. 🩸✨

🌟💜 Happy Birthday to TM Nethulie Perera, KDU Toastmaster! 💜🌟

If there’s one way to describe Nethulie, it’s this: she’s the perfect combination of grumpiness, chaos, and a heart that’s much softer than she lets on. 😤💗 She might talk to you like she hates you, but deep down, she cares about her people more than almost anyone knows.🥹

Nethulie has that natural, motherly kind of caring. 🤍 She notices the smallest details, remembers things you thought she forgot, and somehow always knows when something is wrong.🧚🏼‍♂️🌸 She might not always show it in the sweetest way, but when you need her, she’ll be there without a second thought.⭐

Then there’s her love for fitness. 💪🏽🏋️‍♀️ The gym is practically her second home, and she’s definitely not shy about flexing those muscles and reminding you that you don’t need a man when you have her. 😂💪 A true unfiltered diva through and through. 💅✨

But if there’s one thing that can compete with the gym, it’s FOOD. 🍕🍔🍜 Nethulie is always ready to eat, and honestly, a spontaneous plan becomes ten times better if food is involved. Whether it’s trying something new, going out with friends, or simply finding an excuse to eat, you can count on her to be fully committed. 😂🍟

When she’s not eating or working out, you’ll probably find her completely invested in a Turkish drama, especially if there’s an age-gap romance involved. 📺👀 And when it comes to spontaneous plans, she’s almost always down for the adventure.⛰️

At her core, Nethulie is fiercely loyal, incredibly caring, and someone you can always rely on. 💫 She may be grumpy, brutally honest, and completely unfiltered, but behind all of that is someone with a huge heart who will always show up for the people she loves. 💜
