Blue Skies AMI Montessori Our mission is to provide children with experiences that lay a foundation for learning through the Montessori framework.

Maria Montessori believed that children possess a unique sensitivity and intellectual ability, allowing them to absorb and learn from the environment. Blue Skies provides a safe and stimulating learning environment. We encourage the children to explore and prepare them to become independent learners with the aim of forming positive habits for life- long learning. Classroom activities are facilitat

ed by trained, AMI certified teachers. They work with children individually as they progress from one activity to the next. The child-centered approach to learning allows children to work side by side on activities they choose. This helps them develop social skills, self-confidence and a love of learning. Areas of focus

Practical Life
Through practical life exercises, children learn to care for themselves, one another and their environment. These activities develop concentration, coordination and independence. Sensorial
These activities are designed to help the child explore and analyze their sensory experiences. Math
Math materials develop exactness, concreteness, reasoning and problem solving. Children progress from a concrete to an abstract understanding of quantities and symbols. Language
Language exercises nourish the child's vocabulary, enhances self-expression and lays the foundation for reading, writing and listening skills. Culture
Introduces the child to our world and the living things within it. Age group: 2 – 5+ years
