We're not really hiring a Sales and Marketing Assistant.
We're hiring someone to tell our story.

Across Finnish Preschool Colombo, Forest School Colombo, SenSoMo, Modern Learning Studio, and now Mud Magic Kalutara — our schools have grown because parents couldn't stop talking about what their children were experiencing. Not because of big campaigns.

Now we need someone to help carry that voice further.

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room.
You need to be curious.
Comfortable around children.
Someone who plans events that feel a little different.
Someone who listens before they speak.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet.

📍 Colombo 4
🕒 Full-time, on-site, 6 days a week
🚀 Immediate start — attractive salary based on experience

To every mother who shows up, every single day —

Happy Mother's Day. 💐

You are not just raising a child.
You are shaping a human being.

And that is the most important work in the world.

From all of us at Finnish Preschool, Forest School Colombo, Modern Learning Studio, SenSoMo, and the entire Polaricx family — we see you. We celebrate you. We are honoured to walk this journey alongside you. 🌿

Today is Children's Mental Health Awareness Day 💚🎗️

When we speak about children's mental health, we must look beyond academics and achievements.
Mental health begins in the places where children live, learn, play, explore, and feel safe.

Research continues to show that nature connection plays a powerful role in supporting children's emotional well-being, confidence, resilience, and overall mental health. A muddy path, a tree to climb, fresh air, open-ended play, meaningful friendships, and caring adults can positively shape a child's emotional world.

At Forest School Colombo and Finnish Preschool in Colombo, we believe childhood should not be rushed.
We create spaces where children can:

🌿 Connect with nature
🌿 Feel emotionally safe and understood
🌿 Learn through play and exploration
🌿 Build confidence and resilience
🌿 Develop social and emotional skills naturally
🌿 Experience calm, joy, movement, and belonging

From nature-based learning and sensory play to relationship-centered teaching and emotionally supportive environments, everything we do is designed to protect and nurture the well-being of children.

Because every child deserves a childhood that supports not only their mind, but also their heart. 💚

Almost 10 years ago, I made a decision that most people around me did not understand.

I chose to walk away from the old path. The traditional, industrial-revolution model of education — built for a world that no longer exists — was not something I was willing to carry forward. I wanted something different. Something that truly serves human beings. That nurtures the whole child — their social, emotional, mental, and physical growth. Not just their ability to sit still, memorise, and perform.

That decision changed the entire direction of my life.

I pursued diplomas and degrees. Content knowledge matters — I believe that deeply. But I learned very quickly that knowledge alone is never enough to build something real and meaningful.

So every year, for at least one month, I travel.

I visit schools across the world. I meet founders, principals, and educators. I spend full days inside their classrooms, walk through their spaces, and ask myself — what are they doing that we are not? What do we need to change? What do we need to build?

This is how I grow. Not from a desk. From experience.

One of those journeys took me all the way to Copenhagen — the capital city of Denmark. I had a question I could not let go of. How were they running a Forest Preschool right in the heart of a capital city?

I had to see it for myself.

I walked into Stenurten and spent a full day with Maibritt Iversen and her wonderful team. I visited every classroom. I explored every space. I watched the philosophy come alive — not on a page, not on a screen, but in the eyes of the children and in the hands of the people who had dedicated their lives to this work.

I came home full. Inspired. Clearer than ever about what I am building and why.

Ten years into this journey — I am still learning. Still travelling. Still asking how we can do this better.

And I will never stop.

Because in a world where information is everywhere and experience is rare — the greatest gift we can give the next generation is people who never stopped growing for them.

We are still building. And the best is yet to come. 🌿

Is your school still doing the same old excursion? 🌿

Bring them to the forest this time.

At Forest School Colombo, children don’t just visit a place — they experience leadership, nature, courage, and joy all in one day.

Mud pools. Organic farming. Animal care. Forest walks. Banana leaf feasts. Campfire stories.

One visit. They come back different.

Some places leave a mark on you.

Not on your skin. On your soul.

The first time you held a real insect in your palm. The moment you cooked your own meal over open fire. The afternoon you got completely lost in the forest — and found yourself instead.

Forest School Colombo memories are not just unforgettable.

They are the ones your child will tell their own children about.

Stop planning boring school trips.

Your students do not need another theme park.
They do not need another museum visit they will forget by Monday.

They need mud under their fingernails.
A bird they identified all by themselves.
A meal they cooked on a banana leaf over open fire.
A zip line they were terrified of — until they weren't.

That moment when fear becomes courage? That's real education.

This is not just a child hanging from a tree. 🌳

This is balance. This is trust. This is a bond being built — between a child and the natural world around them.

At Forest School, we don't just teach children about nature. We help them feel it. Move through it. Belong to it.

Every climb, every step, every moment of stillness in the forest quietly builds something powerful inside a child — confidence, resilience, and a deep connection to the living world.

This is what childhood looks like when you give it space to breathe.

🌿 Bring your child to Forest School and watch them come alive.
