Need TWO more interns!

Our first round was excellent. We took in six brilliant interns; yong men and women from both local and overseas universities. Two of them are leaving; one got a job as a lecturer at Kelaniya and the other a full scholarship and RA at Virginia for a PhD. Looks like our internships have quite a bit of value 😁.

I need to fill the two slots for a 12 month period. Title will be Analyst/Intern, Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs, Government of Sri Lanka.

One: Data Analyst (Intern); got to know how to play around with big data; data mining, data warehousing and data visualization to help us understand implementation dynamics of policy interventions.

Two: Economic Analyst (Intern); must know econometrics and mathematical modelling. A finance background will be advantageous to help us improve implementation.

If interested and willing to put in necessary hours in our (really cool) WTC office with four other interns and three secondments from Central Bank, Census and IPS and salary is not the only criteria (actually it is pretty decent) please email resume to my PA at [email protected] right away.

Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management sent their majoring students to Madhurai, India for a rural immersion progam offered by Thiagarajah Institute of Management, Madhurai. There were 22 participants and first ever a such program offered abroad for our students...It was a 10 day intensive program consited of simulation games on rural settings and field visits to villages and farms...Students prepared a documentary in groups on their experiences on the last day of their program...I am sharing their vidoes...you may reward them with a like if you like their efforts and we will recognize the group with the most likes...and we do appreciate you comments....
