The CodeBlast NextGen Workshop, organized by the Career Guidance Unit, University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with **SLT-Mobitel, was successfully held on 23 July 2026 at the Career Guidance Unit, WUS Building.

The workshop provided undergraduates with valuable hands-on experience in telecommunications application development, the Mobitel mSpace Platform, and digital innovation. Participants actively engaged in interactive learning activities, received exciting rewards, and gained access to valuable learning resources.

🏆 Inter-University Financial Literacy Quiz Competition 2026 Successfully Concluded! 📚✨

The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, successfully concluded the Inter-University Financial Literacy Quiz Competition 2026 on 7th July 2026 at the Department of Statistics and Computer Science, University of Peradeniya.

The competition brought together talented student teams representing 12 state universities across Sri Lanka. The participants demonstrated their knowledge, teamwork, and competitive spirit through 06 exciting rounds, covering a wide range of financial literacy and finance-related topics.

WSAP (MMF) Phase IV Awarding Ceremony 2026

The WSAP (MMF) Phase IV Awarding Ceremony 2026 was successfully held on 15th May 2026 at 1.00 p.m. at the Senate Room, University of Peradeniya.

The ceremony marked the awarding of traineeship letters to students selected for the Working Students Assistantship Programme (WSAP) under the sponsorship of the Mosvold Martinus Foundation (MMF). The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, and officials from the Mosvold Martinus Foundation.

This programme provides valuable opportunities for students to gain practical work experience, develop professional competencies, and contribute to university activities while pursuing their academic studies.

🎓 Rover Scouts in Service at the University Convocation Ceremony – 24 & 25 June 2026 ⚜️
The Rover Scouts of the Career Guidance Unit, University of Peradeniya, proudly rendered their voluntary service at the University Convocation Ceremony held on 24th and 25th June 2026.
A selected team of dedicated Rovers participated in the duty sessions after being chosen based on their previous service contributions and active involvement in Rover activities. Throughout the two-day event, they demonstrated outstanding discipline, teamwork, leadership, and commitment while assisting in the smooth coordination of the convocation proceedings.

Their enthusiastic service reflects the true spirit of Rover Scouting—Service, Leadership, and Commitment. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and professionalism displayed by all participating Rovers, whose efforts contributed significantly to the success of this prestigious university event.

🎓 Certificate Awarding Ceremony – 2026 🎓

The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Peradeniya successfully conducted the Certificate Awarding Ceremony 2026 on 13th May 2026 at the Senate Room, Senate Building.

The ceremony recognized undergraduates who successfully completed the Personal and Social Skills Development (PSSD) Programme, Chinese Language Course, and Microsoft Office Essentials Programme. The event was graced by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Ranjith Pallegama as the Chief Guest, along with distinguished academics, programme coordinators, and university officials.

The Career Guidance Unit extends its sincere appreciation to all partners, resource persons, coordinators, staff members, and students whose dedication and commitment contributed to the success of these programmes. Special gratitude is extended to the TTESC Management Team and Chengdu Textile College, China, for their support in conducting the Chinese Language Programme, and to the Information and Technology Centre for its contribution to the Microsoft Office Essentials Programme.
