Certificate Awarding Ceremony – Molecular Biology Basics 2026

Agricultural Biotechnology Center, University of Peradeniya (AgBC) offered the Molecular Biology Basics Certificate Course (2026) to final-year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, for free of charge (about Rs. 30000 worth). The Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held on 29 April 2026 at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. 120 students successfully completed the course (100% attendance for both theory and practical sessions and passed the assessment) and were awarded certificates.

This annual program, conducted by the Agricultural Biotechnology Centre, marks a significant milestone in advancing scientific knowledge and fostering innovation in the field of Molecular Biology.

Duration of the course: 40 hours of theory + 40 hours of practical + 20 hours of independent learning and assessments
Proposed starting date and venue: Every Friday (Full day), from May 8 to July 10, at the Agricultural Biotechnology Centre

Resource Person: Prof. Pradeepa C.G. Bandaranayake, Professor in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Director, AgBC, University of Peradeniya.

Course Fee: LKR 60,000/=

If you have difficulty paying the full amount before 5 May 2026, you may select the following payment plan:

Installment-01 = 20,000/= (Before 5 May 2026)

Payment of first installment confirms your participation in the course, with the remaining balance to be settled in next installments

Installment-02 = 20,000/= (Before 29 May 2026)

Installment-03 = 20,000/= (Before 26 June 2026)
