The Department of Political Science successfully conducted a field work related to the Human Rights course for second-year undergraduates in collaboration with the Department of Sociology.

The fieldwork mainly focused on investigating the impacts of the ‘Ditwah’ Cyclone on affected communities, examining various human rights scenarios, and gaining practical insights through discussions held at the Thalathuoya Divisional Secretariat.

This collaborative field experience provided students with valuable opportunities to connect theoretical knowledge with real world social and human rights issues while enhancing their research and analytical skills.
