Our LKG children enthusiastically participated in a hands-on gardening activity by planting salad leaf seeds in hanging pots made from recycled Mega bottles. ♻️🌿

This wonderful experience helped them learn the importance of reusing waste materials in an eco-friendly way while developing practical skills such as preparing the soil medium, planting seeds, and understanding the care needed for plants to grow healthy and strong.

🙏🪔 Vesak Sil Programme at Ohisama 🪔🙏

As part of our Vesak celebrations, we successfully organized a special Sil Programme for our little ones at Ohisama.

The children arrived dressed in beautiful attire suitable for observing Sil, creating a serene and respectful atmosphere. We were also blessed to have a venerable priest from a nearby temple join us and guide the children throughout the morning session.

In a simple and child-friendly manner, the children learned why we observe Sil, the importance of good conduct, kindness, and mindfulness, and how we should behave while observing Sil. It was a valuable experience that helped them gain a deeper understanding of Buddhist values and traditions.

The programme was both educational and meaningful, and we are delighted with its success. Seeing our little ones participate so enthusiastically made the event truly special.

Pasting Vesak Lanterns

Our Ohisama kids enthusiastically participated in pasting Vesak lanterns. These activities help develop their fine motor skills while enhancing their knowledge and appreciation of Buddhist culture.

Making Burgers

Our UKG kids had a wonderful hands-on experience making their own burgers in the classroom.🍔✨ They learned about the ingredients used and enjoyed assembling their burgers with great excitement. The biggest joy was seeing their happy faces as they proudly enjoyed their delicious creations as their morning snack. Learning becomes extra special when it is fun and tasty! 😊❤️

They explored the ingredients used for making pancakes and learned the step-by-step method in a fun and engaging way. From mixing the batter to watching the pancakes cook, the children were happily involved throughout the activity.

Such practical experiences help children develop life skills, confidence, and a love for learning through exploration and participation. Seeing their excitement and happy smiles made the activity even more special! 💛
