๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒธ Discovering the Parts of a Plant! ๐ŸŒฟ

Our LKG little explorers had a wonderful hands-on learning experience as they were introduced to the different parts of a plant. ๐ŸŒฑ

They carefully observed a real plant and discovered its roots, stem, leaves, and flowers, learning about how each part has an important role in helping the plant grow and thrive. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒผ

๐ŸŒฑ From Seed to Salad โ€“ A Rewarding Learning Journey! ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ’š

Our LKG children experienced the joy of growing their own food from start to finish. They planted salad leaf seeds in recycled PET bottles, cared for the plants every day by watering and observing their growth, and patiently watched them flourish.

The most exciting day finally arrivedโ€”the harvest! ๐ŸŒฟ The children were thrilled to pick the fresh salad leaves with their own hands, feeling proud of what they had nurtured through love and care.

To make the experience even more meaningful, the freshly harvested leaves were served as a healthy salad with their lunch that day. Seeing the children happily enjoy the food they had grown themselves was truly heartwarming.

๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿถ A Day with Animals at Ohisama! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฐ

Our little ones had an unforgettable day learning about and interacting with some adorable animal friends! We were delighted to welcome a pair of friendly rabbits and a gentle, well-trained dog, kindly brought by Dr. Shammi, Veterinary Surgeon.

The children had the opportunity to observe, touch, and interact with the animals while learning how to care for them with kindness, love, and respect. Experiences like these help children develop empathy, compassion, confidence, and an appreciation for all living beings.

Poson Celebration 2026 โ€“ Sharing with Love and Compassion ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ™

This Poson, the Ohisama family celebrated the spirit of generosity by providing lunch packs and yoghurt to all the students and staff of Panideniya Hindu College.

As many of the students come from underprivileged families, the Principal kindly requested that we first support them by providing a wholesome meal before addressing some of the school's other needs. With great happiness, we began this collaboration by sharing a nutritious lunch with everyone, and we sincerely hope to continue supporting the school by donating other essential items in the near future.

The smiles on the faces of the students and staff reminded us that even a simple act of kindness can bring immense joy. Witnessing their happiness filled our hearts with even greater happiness and gratitude.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every parent, well-wisher, and donor who contributed to making this meritorious project a success. Your generosity made it possible for us to touch many lives in a meaningful way.

May the blessings and merits of this noble act be shared with all who contributed in any way. May you and your families be blessed with good health, happiness, peace, and prosperity.

"Happiness grows when it is shared." ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒธ

๐Ÿต Experiencing the Japanese Tea Ceremony ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

Our UKG children had the wonderful opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. This meaningful cultural activity introduced them to the beauty of Japanese traditions, teaching them that every culture has its own unique customs, values, and special ceremonies.

Dressed in traditional Japanese attire, the children enthusiastically took part in the ceremony while learning about the importance of respect, patience, gratitude, and mindfulnessโ€”values that are at the heart of this centuries-old tradition. They were delighted to wear the beautiful outfits and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this unique experience.

At Ohisama, we believe that exposing children to different cultures from an early age helps them develop open-mindedness, appreciation for diversity, and respect for people around the world. It was truly a memorable and enriching experience for our little learners.

๐ŸŒฑ Gardening Activities at Ohisama ๐ŸŒฑ

Our UKG children had a wonderful hands-on gardening experience as they planted okra, chilli, and cabbage seeds in a vegetable bed.

During this activity, they learned how to prepare a vegetable bed, plant seeds correctly, and care for the young plants after planting. Through this practical experience, the children gained a better understanding of where vegetables come from and the importance of patience, responsibility, and caring for nature.

๐ŸŒฟ Growing plants, growing minds, and growing responsible little hearts! ๐Ÿ’š
