Announcement to Past Pupils & the Public,

We are pleased to announce that Major General (Rtrd.) Ashoka Jayantha Peiris has been elected as the Executive President of the Past Pupils Association (PPA) of Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya , at the Annual General Meeting held on 29th March 2026.

Major General (Rtrd.) Peiris is a distinguished military leader and national-level sportsman, currently serving as Director – Security at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

During his tenure in the Sri Lanka Army, he held several key strategic appointments, including Chief Signals Officer and Director General – Information Technology. He also served as Deputy Director (Emergency Operations) at the Disaster Management Centre and commanded the 5th and 1st Sri Lanka Signal Corps. He is widely respected for his disciplined leadership and his ability to deliver results in demanding environments.

An accomplished athlete and Colours Holder in Athletics and Basketball, he has also made significant contributions to sports administration and alumni leadership, including serving as President of Sansada Group (PPA Decade Group 2021/2022) and the Old Palians Athletic Club.( OPAC).

Under his leadership, the PPA will be guided by a clear vision to build a strong, united, and professionally managed association, contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and success of Dharmapala Vidyalaya.

We extend our sincere congratulations to Major General (Rtrd.) Ashoka Jayantha Peiris and look forward to a new era of progress and purpose.

අවසන් කටයුතු පිළිබඳ චාරිත‍්‍ර ජනවාරි 06 (අඟහරුවාදා) දින සවස 3.00ට පිටිපන නිව් ඉන්ද්‍රා මල්ශාලාවේ, VVIP අරලිය ශාලාවේදී පැවැත්වෙන අතර, අවසන් කටයුතු එදින සවස 6.00ට පන්නිපිටිය, කැන්දහේනවත්ත ආදාහනාගාරයේදී පැවැත්වේ.
