Highbrow College and Montessori commemorated the sacred Poson Festival by organizing a fish bun and plain tea distribution on 1st July 2026. The event was successfully conducted through the generous contributions and active participation of parents, students, and teachers.

This noble initiative reflected the spirit of Poson, promoting values of generosity, compassion, and community service. The enthusiastic involvement of the entire Highbrow family made the event a meaningful and memorable occasion, fostering unity and goodwill among all participants.

Vesak Commemoration 2026 at Highbrow College

In commemoration of the Vesak Festival 2026, Highbrow College organized a series of religious and charitable activities involving students from all sections of the school.

Students of Grades 6 to 11 participated in a Sil programme, observing religious practices with devotion and mindfulness, reflecting on the teachings of the Buddha.

The Primary Section students took part in a Bana programme, where they listened attentively to sermons and learned valuable lessons on kindness, compassion, and moral conduct.

The Montessori students enthusiastically organized a Biscuit Dansela, sharing biscuits with others and experiencing the joy of giving, which is a key value celebrated during Vesak.

These activities provided meaningful opportunities for students to strengthen their spiritual values, cultivate generosity, and appreciate the significance of Vesak in fostering harmony and compassion within the community.
