5 finals in 2023? We kept it quiet because we were aiming higher ☕️

The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of Sri Sumangala College emerged as runners-up in the Prof. Carlo Fonseka Memorial Inter-School Debating Tournament.
Sumangalians defeated Ananda College, Colombo in Quarter Finals and Sirimavo Bandaranayake Vidyalaya in Semi Finals.
The victorious team is as follows:
- Dineth Fonseka (C)
- Vishwa Udan
- Ravindu Visanka
- Sandew Perera

The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of Sri Sumangala College has become the Champions of "Tharkabhisheka - 2024" interschool debating tournament oragnized by Girls' High School, Kandy.
Sumangalians defeated Anuruddha Kumara National School and Dharmaraja College, Kandy in preliminary rounds, Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala in the quarter-finals and Aloysius College, Galle in the semi-finals.
Sri Sumangala College defeated Kingswood College, Kandy in the Grand Finals, emerging as the Champions of the tournament.
The victorious team is as follows:

- Vishwa Udan
- Ravindu Visanka
- Sandew Perera
- Pahan Mahoda
- Mahiru Sandira
• Also, Sumangala Captain, Dineth Fonseka was awarded as the Best Debater of the tournament.

Official Announcement ! 🔥
Senior Sinhala Debating Team of Sri Sumangala College were able to emerged as the Champions of the "Tharka 2024 - Mahesh Abeywikckrama Memorial Interschool Debate Tournament" organized by the UoM Leos in collaboration with Helakuru.
The team defeated Royal College Colombo, Samudradevi Vidyalaya , Dharmaraja College in preliminary rounds and Sylvesters College, Kandy and Nalanda College, Colombo in quarter finals and semi finals respectively.
The team defeated Sirimavo Bandaranayke Vidyalaya , Colombo in finals to clinch the championship.
Additionally, Vishwa Udan was awarded the Best Debater of the Finale.

Sumangalians defeated Anula Vidyalaya, Colombo in the quarter-finals and D.S Senanayake College, Colombo in the semi-finals.
Sri Sumangala College defeated Nalanda College, Colombo in the Grand Finals, emerging as the Champions of the tournament.

The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of Sri Sumangala College emerged as runners-up in the "Waagmathra 2023" Inter-School Debating Tournament organized by D.S. Senanayake College, Meerigama.
Sumangalians defeated D.S. Senanayake College, Thurstan College and Darmaloka College in the qualifiers and Visaka Vidyalaya and Sirimavo Bandaranayaka College on the way to the grand final.
The victorious team is as follows:

• Sumangala Captain, Dineth Fonseka was awarded as the Best Debater of the tournament.
• Also, Vishwa Udan was honored as the Best Point Breaker of the tournament.

The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of Sri Sumangala College has become the Champions of 'Voice of the Brains' Inter-School Debating Tournament oragnized by Leo Club of University of Kelaniya.
Sumangalians defeated Anula Vidyalaya in the quarter-finals, and Thurstern College in the semi-finals.
Sumangala College defeated Ananda College with a score of 4-1 in the Grand Finals, emerging as the Champions of the tournament.
The victorious team is as follows:
