Eng. Dr. Kamal Laksiri has been appointed as a Governor of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the term of 2021 to 2024.

Dr. Laksiri is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (FIESL) and also serves the Ceylon Electricity Board as the Project Director of Broadlands Hydro Power Project. He is also a member of the CEBEU and the Civil Engineers Representative of CEBEU for the 2020/2021 term.

Dr. Laksiri is obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Moratuwa, Masters degree from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and his PhD from University of Saga, Japan.

Eng. Dr. Kamal Laksiri is an old boy of Kingswood College, Kandy.

CEBEU extends best wishes to Dr. Laksiri for his appointment, being the first Sri Lankan Civil Engineer to be appointed as a Governor of ASCE.

There are requirements like Oxygen Concentrator machines, Pulse Oximeters, PPE and other consumables due to the daily increasing patient count.
