සමාජ වෘතවේදයේ කඩතුරාව

සමාජ වෘතවේදය වත්මන් වැඩ ලෝකය තුළ විවිධාකාර වූ කැටයම් වලින් ආලේපිත වූ බඳුනක් හා සමානය. මෙකී විවිධාකාර කැටයම් නම් සමාජ වෘතවේදයට විවර වන නන් මාවත් වේ. හුදෙක් සමාජ වෘත්වේදය එක් මාවතකට සීමා නොවේ. එහි මාවත් බොහෝය.වෙනස වන්නේ මෙකී මාවත් සියල්ල දිවෙන්නේ පුද්ගල මනෝභාවයන් මතවීමයි.

සමාජ වැඩකරුවා සමාජයේ අවදානම් සහගත පුද්ගලයන්ගේ මනෝභාවයන් මත තම හඬ අවදි කරන අතර එකී හඩ යට කී අවධානමට ලක් වූ පුද්ගලයාගේ ජන ජීවිතයට නවමු එක් ශක්තිමත් ආලෝකයකි. සමාජ වෘතවේදියා සෑම විටම සමාජයේ ආන්තීකරණයට ලක් වූ පුද්ගලයාගේ අඹ යහළුවාට සමානය. මන්ද යත් ඔහුගේ තීරණ, හැඟීම්, අභ්‍යන්තර ප්‍රතිචාර මෙන්ම පෞද්ගලිකත්වයට හා රැකියාවිතාවයට එය සීමා කරමින් ඔහුගේ මනෝභාවයන්ට අමතන නිසාවෙනි.

කෙසේ වෙතත් සමාජ වැඩකරුවාගේ කාර්යභාරය හුදෙක් පුද්ගල මනෝභාවයන් මතින් අර්ථවත් වන්නේ අනෙකාට ආරක්ෂිත මෙන්ම සහයෝගී පරිසරයක් සපයාදීම උදෙසා වේ. නමුත් ගැඹුරින් සිතා බලන විට දෘශ්‍යමාන වන්නේ එකී හඬ සේවා ලාභියාට පමණක් නොව මුළු මහත් සමාජ ගර්භයේ ම ජීවනාලිය පෝෂණයට දරන වෑයමක් ලෙසිනි.

The Veil of Social Work

Social work in today’s professional world is like a vessel adorned with diverse carvings. These various carvings represent the many pathways through which social work unfolds. It is not confined to a single track; its avenues are many. The difference lies in the fact that all these paths are paved with human emotions and mentalities.

The social worker speaks up based on the psychological states of the most vulnerable people in society. That voice acts as a new, powerful light for the lives of those at risk. A social worker is akin to the best friend of a marginalized individual. This is because they address that person's emotions while respecting their decisions, feelings, and internal responses, all while maintaining the boundaries of privacy and professionalism.

Ultimately, the social worker's role, rooted in understanding human emotions, is defined by providing a safe and supportive environment for others. However, when looking deeper, it becomes clear that this voice is not just for the client alone—it is an effort to nourish the lifeblood of the entire social fabric.
