The “Haritha Wasanthaya 2026” initiative, proudly organized by the Forestry and Environmental Science Society of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on 07th May 2026 at the university premises.

A Significant Milestone in Strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration

The Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, proudly entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PAN ASIA Bank, marking another important step in strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

This strategic partnership aims to foster knowledge exchange, enhance industry exposure, and create meaningful career opportunities for undergraduates, while aligning management education with the evolving demands of the corporate sector.

FMSC and PAN ASIA Bank agreed to collaborate in a spirit of mutual understanding, building a strong relationship grounded in goodwill and a shared vision for future growth and development.

The MOU was signed by Senior Professor M. M. Pathmalal (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Dushan Jayawickrama (Dean, FMSC), and Prof. Sumudu Perera (Coordinator, Industry Liaison Office), representing the University, alongside Ms. Thushari Malalgoda (Assistant General
Manager - Human Resources), Mr. Yohan Dananjaya (Senior Manager - HR), and Mr.
Mithila Bimsara (Junior Executive - Employee Engagement), representing PAN ASIA Bank.

Both parties look forward to exploring further avenues of collaboration beyond the initial scope, recognizing the dynamic and evolving nature of academia-industry partnerships.
