Application Deadline Extended for 'Advanced Certificate in Caregiving' - Intake 2

Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo is pleased to announce that the applications are being called for the second intake of the "Advanced Certificate in Caregiving".

The faculty offers NVQ4 and NVQ3 level courses targeting those who are interested in following a carrier pathway locally and internationally in caregiving. The course is conducted by a panel of qualified lecturers from the University of Colombo.

This advanced certificate course will deliver all the basic aspects of caregiving to the followers to provide professional caregiving services. The professional training gained from this course will help followers to get good salary jobs and high chances to get work visas related to caregiving in many western countries.

The main aim of this course is to provide knowledge, skills and attitudes to work as a professional caregiver in Sri Lanka or abroad.

Faculty of Nursing-University of Colombo is registered at Tertiary and Vocational Education Committee-TVEC (Reg. No. P01/1110) and all the NVQ courses offered are fully accredited by TVEC.

The faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo is proud to announce that the "Inauguration Ceremony of the Advanced Certificate in Caregiving" of the first intake is successfully held at the faculty premises on the 4th of January 2024. Senior Professor H.D. Karunaratne, Vice Chansellor of the University of Colombo, graced the event as the chief guest. The dean of the faculty, the bursar and the registrar of the University of Colombo, academic and nonacademic staff members of the faculty, course applicants and the undergraduates also participated the event.
The faculty is offering NVQ level 3 and 4 general caregiving courses and NVQ level 4 elder care course.

Calling Applications for the Advanced Certificate in Caregiving is closed from 04.12.2023, as the available seats are filled. Hence, we are no longer accepting applications via online or via post. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused due to early closure of the applications calling.
