Founded in 1915 as St. John’s Mixed School with only 14 students, the school grew through dedication and excellence to become one of the most respected girls’ schools in Sri Lanka. Renamed Samudradevi Balika Vidyalaya in 1965, the school has spent over a century shaping generations of intelligent, talented, disciplined, and compassionate young women.
