The New Year Festival of NSIS Negombo Branch was held on a grand scale with the participation of the Board of Directors , Administration and students at the college premises in keeping with the traditional and cultural values which was a joyful and colourful celebration that brought happiness, unity, and cultural spirit to the school community. Students eagerly participated in various traditional games, cultural events, musical performances, and food festivals to welcome the New Year with enthusiasm and excitement. Dressed in beautiful traditional attire, they engaged in activities that reflected the rich cultural heritage and values of the country.
The festival created an atmosphere of friendship, teamwork, and enjoyment among students and teachers. Events such as singing, dancing, and New Year games encouraged creativity, cooperation, and healthy competition. Traditional foods and decorations added more beauty and authenticity to the celebration.
More than just a festive occasion, the New Year Festival helped students appreciate their traditions, strengthen social bonds, and create unforgettable memories with their friends and teachers. It was a meaningful event that promoted cultural understanding, happiness, and togetherness within the school environment.
