The school community reverently celebrated the Feast of St. Mary Euphrasia, the foundress of the Good Shepherd Congregation, with deep spiritual significance and unity. The celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, where teachers and students gathered in prayer. The Mass was made profoundly meaningful through a heartfelt and inspiring sermon delivered by the celebrant, reflecting on the life and mission of St. Mary Euphrasia and her unwavering devotion to Christ.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a beautifully staged drama brought the life of St. Mary Euphrasia to life. The production was thoughtfully directed, scripted, and produced by Mrs. Malsha Appuhamy, with the dedicated support of the primary teachers. Our talented students from Grades 1 to 5 delivered an outstanding performance, portraying the inspiring journey of the saint, from her childhood closeness to Jesus to her lifelong commitment and eventual founding of the Good Shepherd Congregation.
The drama vividly illustrated the essence of the Good Shepherd mission, caring for the “lost sheep” and deeply resonated with the audience, offering insight into a life of service, compassion, and faith.
Rooted in the mission of “Empowering lives, restoring rights, upholding dignity,” the Good Shepherd ethos continues to embrace those who experience injustice, oppression, and alienation ,especially women and children, awakening in each individual a sense of worth, dignity, and unique value. This mission, expressed through social, educational, and pastoral services across many regions, remains a guiding light for our school community.

Following the Upper School badge pinning, the audience was captivated by the maiden speech of the newly appointed Head Prefect, Nisangi Jayawardena.
