In recent school sports events, a concerning display of rivalry has emerged. As teams approach the traditional pre-game handshake, instead of camaraderie, we see hard stares and tense, even threatening body language. This is far from the spirit of sportsmanship that these games aim to instill in young athletes. Are we fostering an environment where respect and unity are sidelined for intimidation? It raises an important question: where are we headed as a nation if even our youth are mirroring this shift in attitude on the playing field?
