🌟 Strengthening Technical Education Through Generous Contributions 🌟

The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) is honored to announce a significant milestone in supporting the future of skilled technical professionals in Sri Lanka.

On 12th November 2025, the institute proudly received a valuable donation from the CGTTI Australia Alumni Association together with the generous contribution of Mr. Sarath Kumarasiri. This meaningful initiative reflects their continued dedication to empowering the next generation of technicians and uplifting vocational education.

As part of this generous contribution:
🔧 600 high-quality Circuit Banana Wires were donated to the Automobile Electrical Section, greatly enhancing the quality of practical training and hands-on learning experiences for our students. These essential training tools will directly contribute to improving technical competencies and industry readiness.

🎓 In addition, scholarships were awarded to several deserving trainees, providing financial support and motivation to continue their education and achieve their career aspirations in the technical field.

This contribution is not just a donation—it is an investment in the future of Sri Lanka’s skilled workforce. The impact of this support will be felt in classrooms, workshops, and ultimately in the industries our students will serve.

🎓✨ Student Intake Ceremony – CGTTI 2025 Batch ✨🎓

The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) proudly conducted the Student Intake Ceremony for the 2025 Batch on 15th December 2025, in a dignified and celebratory atmosphere at the CGTTI premises.

This significant occasion marked the beginning of an important academic and professional journey for the newly admitted students, who are set to become future skilled professionals contributing to Sri Lanka’s technical and vocational sector. The ceremony reflected CGTTI’s long-standing commitment to excellence, discipline, and industry-oriented training.

The Principal of CGTTI, Mr. Gunadasa Samarasinghe, welcomed the 2025 batch and highlighted the importance of dedication, discipline, and continuous learning. The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) conducted its Annual Christmas Carol & Christmas Festival on 18th December 2025 at the institute premises.

The event brought together students, academic and non-academic staff, and invitees to celebrate the true essence of Christmas. Through carol singing and festive activities, the celebration emphasized values of peace, unity, compassion, and togetherness.
The festival once again strengthened the sense of community and cultural harmony within CGTTI, making it a memorable occasion for all participants.

The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) extends its heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to Mr. M. D. D. P. Darmathilaka on the occasion of his retirement.

With a distinguished journey beginning from the 1986 Batch and dedicated service rendered from 16.10.1995 to 26.01.2026, Mr. Darmathilaka has made invaluable contributions to the growth, discipline, and excellence of CGTTI. His commitment, professionalism, and years of exemplary service have left a lasting impact on the institute and generations of trainees.

We sincerely thank him for his remarkable service and wish him good health, happiness, and a fulfilling new chapter ahead.

🎓 CGTTI Diploma & Certificate Awarding Ceremony 🎓

The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) proudly hosted its Diploma & Certificate Awarding Ceremony today [15/01/2026] at BMICH, Colombo, celebrating over 60 years of excellence in technical and vocational education.

The event was graced by the Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, as the Chief Guest, along with Hon. Secretary Mr. Nalaka Kaluwewe, senior ministry officials, and industry representatives.

🎓 Nearly 800 graduates received their diplomas and certificates in the presence of academics, industry leaders, alumni, and proud parents.

🌱 Congratulations to our graduates — shaping Sri Lanka’s skilled workforce for the future!

Applications are called for the 2025 Agricultural Machinery Technician Course – Anamaduwa

The Ceylon German Technical Training Institute – Anamaduwa Branch invites applications for the 2025 intake of the Agricultural Machinery Technician course conducted by the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute, affiliated with the Ministry of Education, Department of Technical Education and Training.

Required Qualifications:

Passed G.C.E. (O/L) Examination

Course Conducted by: Ceylon German Technical Training Institute – Anamaduwa Branch

Medium: Sinhala

Course Modules:

> Modern Agricultural Machinery Maintenance and Practical Welding (Arc & Gas)

> Operation and Repair of Combine Harvester Machines and Four-Wheel Tractors

> Repair and maintenance of diesel engines, basic electrical systems, and hydraulic systems

> Engineering Drawing and Technical Mathematics

> Workshop-based practical sessions and hands-on training

> Industrial training at reputed private sector companies

Training Duration: Approximately 1 ½ years (Full-time course)

Course Fees: Free of charge

Eligible Age: Should be between 16 and 22 years as of 2025.09.23
