The STCML OBA marked 'World Environment Day' by launching its Green Initiatives Programme, aimed at eliminating single-use plastics from the College by 2027.

In a significant step towards a more sustainable future, students and staff of S. Thomas' College Mount Lavinia came together to take a pledge to eliminate single-use plastics from the College by 2027.

The pledge marks the beginning of a long-term journey towards creating a cleaner, greener, and more environmentally responsible school community. It also signifies the launch of the Old Boys' Association's Green Initiatives Programme, through which the OBA will work closely with the College to support and prepare for this important transition.

The occasion was further commemorated with a tree planting programme in celebration of World Environment Day, reinforcing our shared commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Together, we take the first step towards a future where every Thomian plays a part in protecting our planet!
