demy employs qualified lecturers who have recent Sea going experience and is managed by a pioneer in maritime training in Sri Lanka, Capt. E.S.M.Senenayake who obtained MSc in maritime training from World Maritime University – Malmo, Sweden in 1987. He has been responsible in commencement of Marine Short Courses in Sri Lanka and is a founder member of the two other Maritime Training Institutes in Sri Lanka. Lanka Academy of Technological Studies obtained ISO 9001 - 2015 Standard that is mandatory for maritime training academies at its inception. With in a short time we have recorded a high turn out of students following short safety courses due to commitment by our staff who produce good results. Our moto is “Provide Quality Training at Affordable Prices” and we have kept to that moto. We will be starting the other required short courses as well as Classes for Certificate of Competency examinations and cadet training in the near future
This academy is situated at a convenient location adjoining the Main Colombo – Galle road and very close to Panadura Main Bus Stand and Railway Station.
