NLP Centre conducted a training on e-Learning Systems Development at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

NLPC vists KICS, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.

Teams from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan and University of Konstanz, Germany visited the NLP Centre 5-8 Nov 2024.
UET conducted a 2-day training programme on text-to-speech (TTS) which was attended by participants from Jaffna, UCSC and Moratuwa.

Most of the health-related documents in Sri Lanka are produced in English. This means a vast majority of the Sri Lankans cannot refer to them. To overcome this issue, we have started to translate these documents into Sinhala and Tamil. The manually translated data will be later used to build a Machine Translation system.
We need the help of health professionals and students to help us in translating these documents. This is a part-time, work-from-home job.
