Sentura is a Pre-School / Montessori that provides early childhood education and care for children.

While doing so, it assists the children to develop a variety of skills, outlined below, that will prepare them for school. Social skills:
The capacity to empathise with and engage well with peers, as well as effortlessly relate to adults. Language skills:
The ability to communicate effectively, in order to profit from experiences that will help them to develop cognitively, educationally, and socially. Executive functional skills:
The ability to keep and process information in the brain, plan and manage behaviour, solve problems, and, most of all, to be creative. Emotional self-regulatory skills:
The ability to change one's behaviour based on the environment, regulate urges and shift one's focus. (Self-regulation in learning skills is defined as the ability to put off immediate gratification in order to achieve long-term goals, to maintain attention, to persevere, and to remain focused.) Sentura Pre-School / Montessori is especially conditioned to give a boost to children from low-income households, putting them on an equal footing with children from more affluent families, as they prepare to enter school.

Little Nature Explorers - 2026 🌳🌴🐿🐕🐈🪻🌹🌤
These activities help children learn about the world around them, like plants, animals, water, air, and the weather. It teaches them to care for nature, understand how things grow, and learn simple habits like not littering the environment. Through fun activities like nature walks, observing plants, and watching animals, children begin to love and respect the environment.

The primary purpose of this New Year festival is to teach children to respect the country's traditions and values and continue them in the future. Especially traditional games, customs, etc.

We try to maintain religious and national harmony in the country from childhood through practising "නෑගම් යාම" (Nagam Yama) from the Sinhala house to the Tamil house and from the Tamil house to the Sinhala house.
