අ.පො.ස. උසස් පෙළ විභාගය සඳහා ජෛවීය විද්‍යා හෝ කෘෂි විද්‍යා විෂය ධාරාවන් යටතේ පෙනී සිට සමත් වීමෙන් මෙම උපාධි පාඨමාලාව සඳහා අයදුම් කළ හැක. සාර්ථකව උපාධිය නිම කරනු ලබන සෑම සිසුවෙක් සඳහාම සිව්වන වසර අවසානයේ විද්‍යාවේදී ගෞරව උපාධියක් පිරිනමනු ලබයි .

පශු සම්පත් නිෂ්පාදන අධ්‍යයන අංශය, කෘෂි අපනයන අධ්‍යයන අංශය, කෘෂි ව්‍යාපාර කළමනාකරණ අධ්‍යයන අංශය ලෙස අධ්‍යයන අංශ 3 කින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා සබරගමුව විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය කෘෂි විද්‍යා පීඨය සමන්විතයි.

මෙහිදි,
⭕AB යනුවෙන් අදහස් වනුයේ කෘෂි ව්‍යාපාර කළමනාකරණ අධ්‍යයන අංශය (Department of Agribusiness Management) වේ.

⭕LP යනුවෙන් අදහස් වනුයේ පශු සම්පත් නිෂ්පාදන අධ්‍යයන අංශය (Department of Livestock Production) වේ.

⭕EA යනුවෙන් අදහස් වනුයේ කෘෂි අපනයන අධ්‍යයන අංශය (Department of Export Agriculture) වේ.

මෙම සිවු වසර උපාධි පාඨමාලාව තුළ ප්‍රථම දෙවසරේදී අධ්‍යයන අංශ 3 මඟින්ම විෂයයන් උගන්වන අතර තෙවන වසරේ සිට තමන් කැමති අධ්‍යයන අංශය යටතේ විශේෂණය වීමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දී ඇත.

මෙය credits 130 ක පාඨමාලාවක් වන අතර ප්‍රථම දෙවසර තුළ credits 71ක් ද ඉදිරි දෙවසර තුළ credits 59ක් ද සම්පූර්ණ කිරීමට සිදු වේ. දෙවන වසර පුරාවට ගොවිපළ ප්‍රායෝගික පුහුණුවක් ලබාදෙයි. මෙය ප්‍රායෝගික වෘත්තිකයෙකු බිහිකිරීමේ අඩිතාලමයි.

ඒ අනුව පශු සම්පත් නිෂ්පාදන අධ්‍යයන අංශය මඟින් මොඩියුල 2ක් ද (1. Aquatic Bio-resource Technology and Management, 2. Animal Bio-resource Technology and Management), කෘෂි අපනයන අධ්‍යයන අංශය මඟින් මොඩියුල 3ක් ද (1. Crop improvement & plant protection, 2. Crop production technology, 3. Agri-Environmental resources management) ඇති අතර මේවායින් එක් මොඩියුලයක් යටතේ විශේෂණය වීමට ඔබට හැකියාව ඇත.

ඊට අමතරව මෙම උපාධි පාඨමාලාව සාර්ථකව අවසන් කිරීමට නම් පාඨමාලා කාලය තුළ ඉංග්‍රීසි හා තොරතුරු සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ විෂයන් හැදෑරීම හා සමත් වීම අනිවාර්ය වේ.

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is capable of producing talented graduates who are suitable for the job field in the current world.

You can apply for this degree course by appearing and passing the A-level examination under the streams of biological sciences or agricultural sciences. Every student who successfully completes the degree will be awarded an honors degree in science at the end of the fourth year.

Faculty of Agricultural Sciences consists of 3 departments.

⭕AB stands for subjects offered by the Department of Agribusiness Management.

⭕EA stands for subjects offered by the Department of Export Agriculture.

Throughout this four-year program for the first two years the subjects are offered by all three departments with 71 credits & students can specialize in one department under one module for the next two years and have to complete 59 credits since this is 130 credited programs. Meanwhile, students must learn & pass English & Information Communication Technology subjects to fulfill the degree program. Also, they are offered farm practice courses throughout the second year. It's the foundation of creating a practical careerist.

Department of Livestock Production offers 2 specialization modules: Aquatic bio-resource technology & management, Animal bio-resource technology & management. Department of Export Agriculture offers 3 specialization modules: Crop improvement & plant protection, Crop production technology & Agri-Environmental resource management.
