1st Matara Scout Troop (Sri Lanka) St. Thomas' College Matara which has a glorious history was started on 10th of march 1844. It is one In 1917 Rev. father Ante introduced scouting to our school.

It is one of the leading schools in Sri lanka.Our pupils are talented both in studies & extra-curricular activities . Every year we produce a well disciplined prefect board to make our administration easy. Scouting is one of the leading extra-curricular activities in our college. We are young talented pioneers of Matara district as the 1st Matara scout troop. During our proud history our mother Th

omian has created thousands of scouts. There are lots of queen scouts & president scouts. We are very proud as we are celebrating our century in 2017. We are very proud to say that we have shown our colors in many streams such as sports, dancing, singing ,etc

බාලදක්ෂ ජීවය“ තේමාව කර ගනිමින් මෙවර පැවැත්වෙන බාලදක්ෂ ඡායාරූප තරඟාවලිය සඳහා තරඟ කිරීමේ මහඟු අවස්ථාව ඔබ සැමටද හිමිය.......“බාලදක්ෂ ජීවය“ සපිරි අවස්ථාවන්, සිදුවිම් පරිපුර බාලදක්ෂයන් ලෙස ඔබ නෙත් ගැටෙන අකාරයත් ඔබ අත් රැඳී කැමරා කාචයෙන් ඔබ දකින ආකාරයත මෙම තරඟය සඳහා ඡයාරූප ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමේදී අතිශයින් වැදගත් වේ.

11th APR Scout Photo Contest

For 2013, the theme is

“Spirit of Scouting”

to capture the real spirit of Scouting in images just as how our young people and adult leaders see Scouting through their camera.
Also, this year’s theme links the competition to the upcoming 30th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree (30APRSJ)/16th Nippon Jamboree (16NJ), which is also considered as a pre-Jamboree for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. The Jamboree theme is WA: The Spirit of Unity.

Deadline of submission of entries to the Asia-Pacific Regional office is on 28th February 2013.

A souvenir programme produced for a wood Badge Leader's reunion held at the Oratia Scout campsite, in Auckland's Waitakere Ranges. The event was held to coincide with, and was attended by Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell on his 1935 visit to NZ. Illustration shows cover folded out to show front and back.
