IQSSL Cricket Tournament 2026

The Quantity Surveying Department proudly took part in the IQSSL Cricket Tournament 2026, a vibrant and highly competitive event that brought together 28 teams from institutes as well as companies across the country. The tournament was successfully organized by the Institute of Quantity Surveying SriLanka (IQSSL) and held at the SLLDC Grounds, Narahenpita on 25th April 2026.

This event was more than just a cricket tournament, it served as a valuable platform to build camaraderie, strengthen connections between academia and industry, and showcase the true spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship within the QS community. Our team demonstrated great enthusiasm, commitment, and unity throughout the day, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers for arranging such a meaningful event and to the VIVIDRA Media Unit for capturing and supporting these memorable moments.

𝐔𝐨𝐕𝐓 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 | ප්‍රථම දුක්ගැනවිලි විසඳීමේ කමිටුව ස්ථාපිත කෙරේ

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Chandana Jayalath as the first Chairperson of the newly established Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC).

This appointment marks a significant step in our journey toward Ethical Governance. The GRC is designed to be a formal, impartial platform where the concerns of all staff are addressed with transparency and respect.

This initiative is rooted in the principles of natural justice to ensure fair outcomes. Moving beyond individual issues to identify and solve institutional challenges. Under the leadership of Prof. Jayalath, the GRC is committed to fostering a culture of accountability and fairness across the University.

වෘත්තීය තාක්ෂණ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ (UoVT) අභිනවයෙන් පිහිටුවන ලද දුක්ගැනවිලි විසඳීමේ කමිටුවේ (Grievance Redressal Committee - GRC) ප්‍රථම සභාපතිවරයා ලෙස මහාචාර්ය චන්දන ජයලත් මහතා පත් කළ බව අපි ඉතා සතුටින් දන්වා සිටිමු.

මෙම පත්වීම අප විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ 'සදාචාරාත්මක පාලනය' (Ethical Governance) කරා යන ගමනේ සුවිශේෂී සන්ධිස්ථානයකි. සමස්ත කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ ගැටලු සහ දුක්ගැනවිලි විනිවිදභාවයෙන් හා ගෞරවනීය ලෙස විසඳීම සඳහා ස්වාධීන හා විධිමත් වේදිකාවක් ලෙස මෙම කමිටුව ක්‍රියාත්මක වනු ඇත.

ස්වාභාවික යුක්තියේ මූලධර්ම (Principles of Natural Justice) මත පදනම් වූ මෙම මුලපිරීම හරහා, හුදු පුද්ගලික ගැටලුවලින් ඔබ්බට ගොස් ආයතනික අභියෝග හඳුනා ගැනීමටත් ඒවාට සාධාරණ විසඳුම් ලබා දීමටත් අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ. මහාචාර්ය ජයලත් මහතාගේ නායකත්වය යටතේ, විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය තුළ වගවීම සහ සාධාරණත්වය සුරකින සංස්කෘතියක් ගොඩනැගීමට දුක්ගැනවිලි විසඳීමේ කමිටුව කැපවනු ඇත.
