AIBT Campus proudly honored veteran educator K. H. Amaradasa with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the prestigious AIBT Campus Graduation Ceremony 2026, held at the iconic BMICH Main Hall, Colombo. The award recognized his outstanding dedication to education and his remarkable contribution to shaping generations of students in Sri Lanka.

The AIBT Graduation Ceremony 2026 was a grand celebration of academic excellence, where more than 600 graduates received their qualifications, including Diplomas, Higher International Diplomas (HID), Bachelor’s Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, MBA, MEd, DBA, and PhD programmes.

Among the highlights of the ceremony was the special tribute to Mr. K. H. Amaradasa, a respected and inspiring educator who served the prestigious Royal College, Colombo for over 32 years from 1971 to 2003.

A Legacy of Inspiring Generations

Throughout his distinguished teaching career, Mr. Amaradasa dedicated his life to nurturing young minds, instilling discipline, and inspiring students to pursue knowledge and excellence. His commitment to education extended far beyond academic instruction, as he played a pivotal role in shaping the character, leadership, and ambitions of countless students who have gone on to achieve success in various professional fields.

His unwavering passion for education and mentorship has left a lasting legacy that continues to influence generations of learners across Sri Lanka.

Prestigious Recognition at AIBT Graduation 2026

In recognition of his exceptional service and lifelong dedication to education, AIBT Campus proudly presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Amaradasa during the graduation ceremony.

The award was presented by Mr. Kevin Johns, CEO of London Examinations Board Limited, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.

We were pleased to welcome Mr. Kevin John, CEO of the London Examination Board and the person in charge of the University of Gloucestershire programme, who visited Matara for a three-day visit this week.

During his visit, he came to the AIBT Southern Branch and explained in detail about the new programmes that will be introduced in the future as well as the programmes that are currently being conducted. His visit was very valuable for our academic community and for students who are interested in higher studies.

As part of the visit, we also organized a Knowledge Sharing Session at AIBT Southern Branch. A group of potential doctoral candidates participated in this session. It turned into a very productive discussion where Mr. Kevin John explained the structure of the programme, research opportunities, and other important information related to the doctoral pathway.

The participants were able to raise many questions about the programme, and Mr. Kevin John patiently answered all their questions and clarified the details they needed to know before starting their doctoral journey.

We sincerely thank Mr. Kevin John for taking the time to visit us and share his knowledge and experience. His visit was a great encouragement for those who are planning to pursue doctoral studies in the future.
