A person can improve the English language by following these simple and effective steps:

1.Read every day
Reading storybooks, newspapers, short stories, and articles helps to learn new words and correct sentence structures.

2.Listen to English
Listen to English songs, news, movies, and conversations. This improves pronunciation and understanding.

3.Speak in English regularly
Try to speak English with friends, teachers, or family members without fear of making mistakes.

4.Learn new words daily
Learn 5–10 new words every day and use them in sentences.

5.Practice writing
Write short paragraphs, diary entries, letters, or essays in English to improve grammar and

Learn basic grammar
Understand tenses, parts of speech, and sentence patterns. Grammar helps to speak and write correctly.
7.Use a dictionary
Check the meanings, spelling, and pronunciation of new words using a dictionary.
8.Think in English
Try to think in English instead of translating from your mother tongue.
10.Watch English programmes
Watching English cartoons, dramas, or educational videos improves listening and speaking skills.
11.Be confident and patient
Learning English takes time. Practice daily and don’t be afraid of making mistakes.

ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාව වැඩිදියුණු කරගැනීමට පුද්ගලයෙකුට පහත ක්‍රම අනුගමනය කළ හැකිය:
1.දිනපතා කියවන්න
කතා පොත්, පුවත්පත්, කෙටි කතා සහ ලිපි කියවීමෙන් නව වචන හා නිවැරදි වාක්‍ය ව්‍යුහය ඉගෙන ගත හැක.
2.ඉංග්‍රීසි අසා සිටින්න
ඉංග්‍රීසි ගීත, පුවත්, චිත්‍රපට සහ සංවාද අසා සිටීමෙන් උච්චාරණය හා අවබෝධය වැඩි වේ.
3.නිතර ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් කතා කරන්න
වැරදි වුවද බිය නොවී මිතුරන්, ගුරුවරුන් හෝ පවුලේ අය සමඟ ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් කතා කිරීමට උත්සාහ කරන්න.
4.දිනපතා නව වචන ඉගෙන ගන්න
දිනකට වචන 5–10ක් ඉගෙනගෙන ඒවා වාක්‍ය වල භාවිතා කරන්න.
5.ලිවීමේ පුහුණුව කරන්න
කෙටි පෙරළිකතා, දිනපොත් සටහන්, ලිපි හෝ රචනා 6.ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් ලියන්න.
මූලික ව්‍යාකරණය ඉගෙන ගන්න
කාල (tenses), වචන වර්ග සහ වාක්‍ය රටා අවබෝධ කරගන්න. ව්‍යාකරණය නිවැරදිව කතා කිරීමට හා ලිවීමට උපකාරී වේ.

7.ශබ්දකෝෂයක් භාවිතා කරන්න
නව වචන වල අර්ථය, අක්ෂර වින්‍යාසය හා උච්චාරණය පරීක්ෂා කරන්න.

8.ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් සිතන්න
මව් භාෂාවෙන් පරිවර්තනය කිරීම වෙනුවට ඉංග්‍රීසියෙන් සිතීමට උත්සාහ කරන්න.

9.ඉංග්‍රීසි වැඩසටහන් නරඹන්න
ඉංග්‍රීසි කාටූන්, නාට්‍ය හෝ අධ්‍යාපනික වීඩියෝ නරඹීමෙන් ශ්‍රවණ හා කතා කිරීමේ හැකියාව වැඩි වේ.
විශ්වාසයෙන් හා ඉවසීමෙන් කටයුතු කරන්න
ඉංග්‍රීසි ඉගෙන ගැනීමට කාලය අවශ්‍ය වේ. දිනපතා පුහුණුව කරන්න සහ වැරදි කිරීමට බිය නොවන්න
