ජාත්යන්තර මට්ටමේ ජයග්රහණ ලබා ගනිමින් පාසලට සහා ශ්රී ලංකාවටත් මහගු කීර්තියක් එක් කල පුබුදු ප්රීමාල්
1994 .08 .02 උපත ලබන අතර කු/ශ්රීමත් ජෝන් කොතලාවල විද්යාලයට ඇතුලත් වන්නේ 2000 වර්ශයේදීය. මේ අනුව පාසලේ ඉගෙනීම් කටයුතු වල නිරත වෙන පුබුදු වඩා දක්ශතාවයක් පෙන්වන්නේ නාට්ය සහා පිහිනුම් ක්රීඩාවටය.
කෙසේ වෙත්ත් ඔහුගේ පන්තියේ සිටි සියලුම දෙනා පිහිනුම් ක්රීඩාවට ඇල්මක් දක්වන බවද ඔහු දැන සිටි අතර එවකට එයට සහබාගී වීම සඳහා රු.250ක් නොමැතිව අසරණව සිටි පුබුදු මේ වන විට ජාත්යන්තරය ජය ගෙන අවසන්. කාලයත් සමඟ විශාල අසීරුතා සඳහා මුහුන දෙමින් ඔහු 2003දී ඔහුගේ පළමු පිහිනුම් තරඟයේදී 9න් පහළ ශූරතාවය ලබා ගන්නේ ඔහුගේ දිවියට ඔහු විසින්ම නව බලාපොරොත්තුක් එක් කරගනිමිනි. එවකට ඔහුගේ පුහුණුකරුවන් සහා උපදේශකවරුන් වන්නේ ගුණතිලක ගුරුපියානන්, බණ්ඩාර ගුරුපියානන්, දිල්රුක්ෂි ගුරු මෑණියන්, නිරුපිකා ගුරුමෑණියන් සහා නිල්මිණි ගුරුමෑණියන්ය. මේ සැමගේ මැදිහත් වීම මත හොදින් පුරුදු පුහුණුවීම් වල නිරතවෙන පුබුදු 2003 වර්ශයේම Island open water beach games 9න් පහල තරඟයේ හොඳම පිහිණුම් ක්රීඩකයා බවට පත් වන්නේ 2km දුර පිහිනීමෙන් අනතුරුවය. 2004 වර්ෂයේදී All island water beach games තරඟාවලියේදී නැවතත් ප්රේක්ෂකයන් මවිත කරමින් ඔහු ලාබාලතම පිහිනුම් සම්මානය ලබා ගන්නේ ඔහුගේ අධිෂ්ඨානයට නව අඩිතාලමක් එකතු කරගනිමින්ය.
ජීවිතයේ කෙතරම් බාධා පැමිණියද, කෙතරම් අඟහිඟ කම් පැමිණියද ඔහුට හැකි උපරිම ආකාරයෙන් පුහුණුවීම් වල නිරත වෙන පුබුදු 2005 වර්ෂයේදී පළාත් ශූරතාවය, දිස්ත්රික් ශූරතාවය ලබා ගනිමින් ජාතික මට්ටමේ අවසන් 8 දෙනා අතරට පැමිණීමට උරුමකම් කියන්නේ නොපසුබට උත්සහය සහ කැපවීම් කරමිනි. ඔහු විසින්ම ඔහුගේ ක්රීඩාදිවියට දිනෙන් දින එක් කර ගන්නා නව අධිෂ්ඨාන නිසාවෙන් 2009 වර්ෂයේ සිට 2012 වර්ෂය දක්වාම නොකඩවා දිස්ත්රික් හා පළාත් ශූරතාවය හිමි කරගනු ලබන්නේ පාසලටද මහගු කීර්තියක් එක්කරමිනි.
පුබුදුගේ ජීවිතයේ පළමු සංචාරය ඉන්දියාවටය. 2008 වර්ශයේදී ඉන්දියාවේ පැවති තරඟ වලට මුහුණ දෙන ඔහු රන් පදක්කමක් සහා ලෝකඩ පදක්කමක් ඔහු සතු කරගනිමින් ලංකාවට පැමිණෙන්නේ ඔහුගේ ජීවිතයට අමතක නොවන තවත් එක් සංධිස්ථානයක් එක් කරගනිමිනි. මෙ අතරතුර තව තවත් තරඟ වලට සහබාගී වෙමින් ජයග්රහණ ලබා ගනිනිමින් පුහුණුවීම් වල නිරත වෙන පුබුදු 2010 වර්ෂයේ All Island water beach games තරඟාවලියට නැවතත් සහබාගීවෙමින් නැවතත් ශූරතාවය ඔහු සතු කරගනු ලබන්නේ ප්රේක්ෂකයන්ද මවිතයට පත්කරමිනි.
පිහිනීමට පමණක් නොව නාට්ය හා රංග කලාවට බොහෝ ඇල්මක් හා දක්ශතාවක් දක්වන ඔහු 2010 වර්ෂයේදීම රාජ්ය ළමා නාට්ය උළෙලේ දිස්ත්රික් හා පළාත් ජයග්රහකයා බවට පත්වනවා.
මේ අනුව සියලු අංග සඳහා දක්ෂතා පෙන්වන පුබුදු 2015 වර්ෂයේ සිට 2017 වර්ෂය දක්වා විවෘත වයස් කාණ්ඩයෙන් තරඟ වැද ශූරයා බවට පත් වන්නේ නැවතත් ලංකාවට මෙන්ම පාසලට ඉමහත් ගෞරවයක් සහා කීර්තියක් එක්කරමිනි. ජයග්රහණනුලෝශී අන්දමින් 2018 වර්ෂයේදී ඔලිම්පික් සඳහා පුහුණුවීම් වීම් වල නිරත වීමෙන් අනරතුරුව ඔහු 2019 වර්ෂයේදී ෆිනා පිහිනුම් ලෝක කුසලාන අවසන් 8 දෙනා අතරට තේරීපත් වීම විශේෂ කරුණකි. 2017 වර්ෂයේද ඔහු ෆිනා පිහිනුම් ලෝක කුසලාන වසන් පූර්ව තරඟයටද මුහුණදීමද ඉමහත් ආඩම්බරයකි.
ඔහුගේ ජීවිතයේ ඔහු මේ ස්ථානය දක්වා රැගෙන ඒමට කටයුතුකල බණ්ඩාර ගුරුතුමා සහා සමන් ඉන්ද්රරත්න විදුහල්පතිතුමන්ට මෙන්ම පෙර සිටි සියළුම විදුහල්පතිවරු සහා ගුරුභවතුන් හට තවමත් ඔහු ස්තූති කරන්නේ නිහතමානී ක්රීඩකයෙකු සතු නිවැරදි ගුණාංග අන් අයටත් පසක්කර දී ආදර්ශයක් වෙමිනි. මේ වන විට ඔහු සතුව සහතික පත්ර 1000 ට අධික ප්රමාණයක්, පදක්කම් 700ට අධික ප්රමාණයක් සහා කුසලාන 120 ක් ඔහු සතු කර ගැනීමට ඔහු සමත්ව ඇත.
වර්ථමානය වන විට පුබුදු කටාර් ජාතික කණ්ඩායමේ පිහිනුම් පුහුණුකරු ලෙස කටයුතු කරන අතර ඉහල තාක්ෂණ කාර්යය විෂ්ලේෂකයෙකු ලෙසද කටයුතු කරමින් තම අධිෂ්ඨාන සියල්ල ජය ගනිමින් ජීවිතයේ ඉදිරියට ගමන් කරමින් ඔහු සතුව තිබෙන සියලු හැකියාවන් අන් අයටත් පුහුණුකරමින් ජීවිතයේ සාර්ථකත්වය කරා කෙමෙන් පියමන් කරන්නේ මුළුමහත් ලංකාවට සහා පාසලටද අති විශාල කීර්තියක් එක්කරදීමෙන් අනතුරුවය. ඔහුගේ ජීවිතයේ ඉදිරි කටයුතු සඳහා අපගේද උණුසුම් සුභ පැතුම්.

Pubudu Primal brings glory, honour and proud not only to Sri Lanka but also to his school school Sir John Kothalawala College Kurunagala through an international achievements. He was born on 1994.08.02 and strats his studies at Sir John Kotelawala collage in the year 2000. Accordingly, Pubudu engaged with his most interested area of drama and swimming at the school.
While facing lots of difficulties over time, he won the Under-9 Championship in his first swimming competition in 2003, adding new hopes to his career. His coaches at the time were namely as Gunathilaka, Bandara , Dilrukshi , Nirupika.Pubudu, who has been practicing well with the involvement of all of them, became the best swimmer in the under 9 all island open water beach games in 2003 after swimming 2km. In 2004, he won the youngest sswimmer award at the All Island water beach games, adding a new colour to his determination.
Pubudu, who has been training for the best of his ability despite all obstacles and dificulties of his life, was able to earn the provincial championship, district championship in 2005 and to be among the top eight in tha national order. Due to his new determination to add to his sport day by day, he won the district and provincial championships from 2009 to 2012,and it was a great reputation for the school too.
Pubudu's first international tour was to visit to India. He returns to Sri Lanka with a gold medal and a bronze medal in India in 2008, adding another unforgettable moment to his life. In the meantime, Pubudu is back in the All Island water beach games in 2010, won more & more championships and winning, brings surprise for the spectators.
In addition to swimming, he has a passion for drama and theatrical arts. And he became the winner of district and zonal level in nationals drama festival 2010.
Pubudu was the champion in the Open Age category from 2015 to 2017, once again adding immense respect and prestige to Sri Lanka and the school. It is noteworthy that he has been selected as one of the final eight finalists for the FINA World Cup 2019, following his successful training for the 2018 Olympics. He is also very proudly participated for the finals of 2017 FINA Swimming World Cup by representing Sri Lanka with a glory.
He thanked to Mr. Bandara Teacher and Mr. Saman Indraratne The Principal of Sir John Kothalawala College who took him up to this point in his life and to all the Principals and Teachers of the past who exemplified the right qualities of a humble player by setting an example. He has won more than 1,000 certificates, more than 700 medals and 120 trophies.
Currently working as the swimming coach of the Qatar National Team, and as a high-tech analyst, he has overcome all his resolutions, moving on with his life and training others in his life. After the addition. Our best wishes for the future of his life.
