The Centre for Gender Studies celebrated the Sinhala & Tamil New Year with a delightful tea party and our Steering Committee meeting on April 21st, 2026.
We were honored to convene with our new Acting Director, Prof. Sulochani Ramanayake, and our esteemed faculty representatives: Acting Deputy Director Dr. Amila Jeewandara, Prof. Nayana Gunathilaka (FOM), Dr. Dilani Wikramarachichi (FOS), Dr. Pavithra Godamune (FOM), Senior Lec. Damayanthi Edirisinghe (FOCM), Senior Lec. Samanthika Priyadarshani (FOSS), and Senior Lec. Divanka Randula Podduwage (FOH).

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to celebrate the New Year, strengthen collaboration, and discuss future directions. We are also pleased to announce the initiation of a new project, marking another step forward in advancing the Centre’s work.
